Palm Palms — Local services in Clearwater

I have shopped at this store for over 20 years. I can't wait to go there when ever I visit Florida. The sales clerks have always been friendly and helpful in choosing coordinated outfits right down to the accessories. Today WAS A DIFFERENT story. I found the store cluttered and only one door was open so we had to walk around the building to access the store . The salesclerks, the only one present, was one of the worst I have ever had. She showed no interest in me being there and not once asked if she could be of assistance. When I asked to try things on she told me to take whatever dressing room I wanted without even looking at me. When I asked her for help finding a top to go with a pair of shorts, she told me they were all along the walls. When I asked for more specific help she became very irritated and made me feel like I was a big nuisance. She never smiled, greeted us or thanked us for coming. My best friend and I are here on vacation. Today (4/26/17) we stopped for lunch then popped in the small stores that were nearby. The moment we walked into Palm Palms (fun comfy clothing) store, the one and only lady working there immediately made us feel unwelcome. I was wearing a beach cover up dress and had been standing near the window. She approached me and asked me if I was aware that my dress was see-thru. I said yes I am aware it is. She gave me the nastiest look then told me there's nothing in her store for me. I'm a corporate event planner and have been to numerous resorts, hotels, boutiques, shops, etc. during my 27 year career, and I have never ever come across anyone so rude. I don't know if this was the owner or not but whoever this woman is doesn't belong in a customer...

After breakfast, my mother and I decided to “walk next door” to check out Palm Palms. This was June 2020 and we were all in the middle of the pandemic. The gals running the shop made my mother and I very comfortable. We both fell in love with the Lulu B line as it is excellent for curvy gals, travels incredibly well, and the colours and patterns are FUN! I added a review on the other location at John’s Pass and I felt the need to add one to this location because it appears that some bad reviews from a few years ago had made the store appear to be sub-par.
