Knoebels Old Time Photo — Local services in Cleveland Township

I have been coming here for years and always a great experience. Today was different. We came in and made a reservation, at which time I had an almost 10 minute conversation with 2 employees about what we wanted to get. I asked numerous questions and the one employee took the lead to answer my questions, she was very polite and seemed to know what she was talking about. I was told the price that I’d be paying for what I told her I was interested in getting. We came back at our appointment time and got pictures taken (the ones I had asked prices for) and when the owner rang us up the total was double the price. I explained that I had had a conversation about what I was getting and she immediately became rude and defensive. She asked who had told me the information, when I told her she rolled her eyes and said something along the lines of “she doesn’t know what she’s talking about,” and continued to be rude, offering no apology for the miscommunication from her staff. Very unprofessional. Also, two of the four people in our group were not given shoes (after they were asked their shoe size 2 times); they asked why they didn’t get shoes when 2 others did- we were told that it wouldn’t matter because their feet wouldn’t be in the pictures. My husband and I arrived with our 11 month old Finleigh for our first visit. We immediately found this studio, around 1230 (the park opened at 1200). We were greeted by the photographer, and her assistants, and were advised that their day was already booked up. When I explained the picture would only be of the baby, the photographer was very accommodating, and said she could squeeze her in between shoots. We arrived at our appointment time early, the assistants immediately provided her costume, and began setting up the backdrop adorned with pearls and faux flowers. The photographer was very professional, doing some creative things to get our girls attention! She took several lovely pictures of her, and captured some un-posed pictures while my baby played with the decor around her. It was a VERY pleasant visit, and I was more than happy to purchase the USB package which included the sitting fee, a printed 8x10, and several shots along with the copyright for $60! My favorite part of Knoebels is the old time photos. They have so many options to choose from for a theme. I usually get the 2 person with the usb add on and it’s affordable for the quality of the photos. The people working the attraction are amazing. They really value making sure that your photos turn out good and are so pleasant to be around and have a great sense of humor.
