Flying Turns is the only wooden bobsled coaster in the world. Knoebels has a quirky little slogan for it; “They told us we couldn’t, but we did it anyway.” Basically, Knoebels poured seven years of hard work into getting this ride open, after problems with the trains, track, and abiding by the modern amusement park building codes. This was the first wooden bobsled since the last original one closed in the mid 1970s. While the ride is insanely unique, and a much-needed revival of a coaster type that many enthusiasts would die to experience, the coaster’s actual forces are comparable to that of a family ride. The turns do offer a fun and strange sensation of whip, hence the coaster name, but there isn’t much more than that to this ride. The video's Knoebel's posted, I have downloaded and have watched riding from the front flyer and riding in the back flyer and must say their ride is so like...

It's really worth the price to try at least once but remember this isn't a traditional coaster thrill but something much more interesting. It's a ride, experience, and trip back in time.
This ride is a labor of love by the park with how many employees are required to run and...
