Our group did the middle section, Ash was our guide and trip leader. (We called him Axel because he bears a significant resemblance to Axel Rose!) Our group of 4 was an older group, 199 years of collective living and Axel chose us as our raft guide. (Not sure if it was out of curiosity, challenge or if he just wanted to hang with folks the age of his grand parents! We told him to show us what he had. He smiled and did just that, surfing waves, hitting each rapid w/ precision and engaging in great conversation! We had one raft in our trip that tipped and everyone fell out. It was a family and clearly, they were afraid to go on. Axel handled the situation w/ calm and professional precision. He is a master at his craft of guiding and managing people! I've been on the Ocoee 10 or 12 times over the years, the last trip was 19 years ago - most trips were w/ NOC. They are the bomb because of the people they employ. Axel (Ash) was the best I've had! A great young man who is a great raft guide but aspires to dedicate his life to helping others! (That's another story.) NOC is a great outfitter because they employ great people. Ash is a great example of that. Go raft the Ocoee and ask for Axel. He'll know who...

The folks at the NOC are the best at what they do. I have been down the Ocoee a few times with various companies but every time I go down with the NOC I am reminded why they are my first choice. This time I got to take my kids whitewater rafting for the first time so naturally I chose NOC and they had the best time. Henry our guide really got into showing them the best ways to do things and showing them the natural landscape and the beauty of being on a world class river. My kids loved it and really that is what makes the NOC so good is the people who make up the organization. They love what they do and it shows. Also the facilities at this location are top notch with showers, changing rooms, a nice retail area and good rentals. As a side note they were very COVID aware and cared about the safety of their guests and crew. You cannot go wrong choosing the NOC for your...

We're there today on a company rafting trip and had an AMAZING TIME! Our main instructor of the bunch was Ash! He was informative, hilarious, and so fun to be around (as was the entire guide crew).

My rafts guide, Kylie, she was THE BEST!! Awesome job with explaining the different flumes we were gonna hit, when we'd hit them and some background about the river. She also had a very sweet and fun personality, which always makes things/events like this fun! She made ya work the panels, but ya had fun doing it!!! Lol

Would definitely go back, and would recommend NOC-Benton, TN to anyone! Great facilities to change, shower, etc after your rafting trip and the funnest, goofiest, professiinal and we'll trained rafting staff I've ever seen!

To sum it up: I'M CHAINSAW, AND I'M DAVE WE'LL SEE YOU.....AT THE RAPIDS!!! 🌊🌊🌊🌊👍🤟 (yeah a little 80s Summer School movie comedy nod...

John Eakes was our 19yr. old guide and he did an amazing job - A+! It was myself and my two boys in a raft. Felt safe the entire time - nobody went over accidentally. Very organized operation. Hit some class 3 & 4 - water was not freezing so that was a plus. We did the three hour trip and that was just right - it was about 80 minutes in the water and the rest was getting oriented, transportation, etc.. The outpost is relatively new - showers, bathrooms, and a nice store. You can buy all the pictures they took for under $100. One word of caution - if you are traveling from the west, make sure you take into account the time change - we planned on getting there early but with the +1 hour we arrived right on time - no issues but could have been a big problem.

The Ocoee Whitewater Center is an amazing destination for anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures. The river is both thrilling and scenic, offering exciting whitewater rafting while being surrounded by the stunning Cherokee National Forest. Beyond rafting, there are plenty of hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, and peaceful spots to simply enjoy nature. The facilities are clean and well kept, with informative displays about the 1996 Olympic events that took place here. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and makes the experience safe and fun. Whether you’re looking for an adrenaline rush or just a relaxing day outdoors, this place is a must-visit.
