We were riding the SE BDR with a motorcycle and an EV, arriving at the park at 17:41 on Oct 23. I didn't have cell service, but my friend did and made a same-day reservation on his phone so we could check in immediately.
Only after booking did we discover that this RV park (and apparently many in the area) does not allow EV charging or tent camping. This critical information was not clearly visible during the mobile reservation process.
We immediately called the number but were sent to a messaging service. The next day, we received this voicemail:
"Hey [My Friend] this is Mandy with Whitewater RV Park um yeah unfortunately I don't know how it would take your card and all that other stuff um but it is two weeks notice for a um Cancellation all right thank you bye."
We understand policies, but this situation is unreasonable. Applying a two-week cancellation policy to a same-day reservation made just minutes earlier is baffling, especially when they "don't know how" the system took the card in the first place. We were left stranded at dusk and are now out our money for a service we couldn't use due to unclear mobile...
Read moreHome of the 1996 Olympics Whitewater Competition, Ocoee is a wonderful destination for whitewater rafting. And Whitewater RV Park is a very pleasant place to park your rig. Upon arrival, we went into the office even though we checked in online and had all the information we needed via an email from the park. The office houses bathrooms, showers, and a laundromat with two each washers and dryers ($2.50n for washers and $1.50 for dryers.) All doors are coded for entry. We proceeded to our site through the coded gate. Our site, 2, was a pull through full hookup 50 amp cement pad site with side grass, a picnic table, and a metal fire bowl. A nice little pavilion with a stationary charcoal grill was next to our site. The park has 24 total RV spots available. Two onsite apartments for rent, too. Amenities also include a dog park with available doggy waste bags and two waste bins, a playgrounds for the kids, and a couple retails shops (Myrtle's Cafe and and ice cream shop) at the entrance...
Read moreThis park was perfect for our stay in the area to hike, white water raft, and see friends. The level pads are a relief after a long drive - so easy to get set up in the pull through! All the resources (sewer, water, power) are like new and working perfectly. The park staff are kind and helpful, the place is clean and well cared for, the bathrooms are spic n span, and the kids enjoyed the playground almost as much as the ice cream shop at the bottom of the hill. The area is so beautiful with lots to do and we thought this was a great location with groceries 5 min away, gas stations (but not diesel! around the corner) and cute spots like Firefly market and Dam Deli. It gets real hot and humid so a pool would have been most refreshing but given the location, I can see where that’s not an...
