This place is great for a grab-and-go meal. Just not so much for a relaxing lunch break from traveling.
Overall it is what you would expect to see in a Subway restaurant (assuming you have eaten at one before). What makes this place less than 5 stars is how unnatural it feels to dine inside.
To start with, when you walk in there is a security gate that divides the restaurant from the gas station. The pass-through is always locked so that you may not venture from one business to the other. To me, this gives the feeling that something bad has happened to make them always keep this gat shut. And I do not care much for that feeling.
Another thing that makes me feel unwelcome to sit and enjoy my meal inside, which should be a simple fix, is that there are no paper napkins anywhere for guests to use. If you need any then you have to go to the counter and ask. This means you have to wait in line to get them or you have to interrupt someone else ordering to ask for napkins. It feels very confrontational interrupting another guest ordering just to ask for napkins and I do not like leaving my food on the table while I wait in line all over again just to get napkins.
Post-covid this place has suffered from the employee deficit that has plagued the rest of the nation. But as short-handed as this place has been, the people behind the counter have been very nice and helpful each time I...
Read moreHave been coming to this subway for years, today I had by far the worst subway experience I've ever had here(or any other subway). Upon getting out of the car the employees are both outside smoking in plain view, and talking about vulgar personal business. Once inside the girl with the purple/blue hair stays on her cell phone for over a minute arguing with someone under her breath. When she finally acknowledged our presence it was a rude and gruff "what can I get for you". Her coworker clocked in and promptly answered a store phone with a personal call to guess who...yeah purple and blue again. Who left our partially made sandwich for the flies under the sneeze guard. We promptly took our business to the ocoee gondolier right...
Read moreWow they have chairs set along the food service area, and they have signs posted all over the door about social distancing and wearing a face mask neither of the two employees that we're working today at on a mask. I have to say I'm a little disappointed. I respect the right for people to wear or not to wear a mask? But if you're going to handle food you need to wear a mask. It's all about the CDC guidelines. So if you're concerned like I am about where you eat, don't stop here there's a Hardee's a pizza place in several other places to get food...
