The merchandise and produce has greatly improved at Save-a-Lot, since the new management took over. The store prices have increased but, the store on a whole is, more visually pleasing.. Today 10/25, I attempted to return and exchange a spoiled item from the meat department, my request was denied because I had no receipt and the product was said to be out of stock. The store manager indicated the only option she had authority to offer was; I should take my spoiled meat back home, refreeze it and return with it frozen when the item was back in stock. Also, I was told the item I purchased had been out of stock for 2 weeks, but that is not true because I purchased my frozen item around 10/21. Mornings and before 12-1 is the best time to go. You can be in and out. Anytime after that? Who knows what you will encounter. The other day I made the mistake in coming here about 5ish. Read moreI needed a lighter to lite my candles. I remembered seeing lighters at the entrance of the store and sometimes in the paper aisle on numerous occasions. I entered the store today and NO lighters!!! I asked the cashier and she stated that they still had them because she sold one earlier and to check in the paper aisle. I went back couldn’t find it and returned to the cashier.
