Super disappointed in my experience with this establishment. I found them when I couldn't find anyone that would fix an intricate piece of jewelry that I purchased. It was a ring with a stone that could have broken if it wasn't handled with care. They fixed it but the stone still cracked slightly. I was told that there was no way around this. The owners seemed friendly so I let it go...

I then brought some diamond bangles back at another point. I needed them to be 'sized.' I was told that they couldn't be by many repair places. But I decided to try my 'intricate jewelry repair guys.' The bracelets were sized but were bent and were now flimsy. I wore them a week and they flattened. Again, I was indeed told this would happen when you size diamond bangles - however not by Unique. I definitely asked if this would happen. I was told that it wouldn't. I thought they had the magic sauce. When I returned with my flattened bangles I was told that I shouldn't be rough with my jewelry. I took my bangles and had the place I got them made remake them for me.

My last and final visit today was very unprofessional. I brought a Cartier love bracelet in to be fixed. Yes, definitely another intricate piece of jewelry. I prefaced this time with - 'if you can't fix the piece back to the original state please let me know. I will pick it up.' Especially because the overpriced yet subpar workmanship game is getting old. I said it several times. I made sure to say it louder so everyone heard. I didn't want another 'we did our best' excuse. I returned to yet another subpar repair job on bracelet. The bracelet wouldn't fully close. I was told that the locking mechanism might be broken. Well, yes. That's why I brought it... so this means you can't fix it right? So what did we discuss? Calling me to pick it up... nope. The same game. He fixed to the 'best of his ability and the bracelet still doesn't close. It closes better than it did, but I didn't want that. I was going to take it to Cartier if he couldn't fix it. Simple. When I finally expressed my concern over this repeat 'I did what I could do' flow, the same games ensued. The 'what was I doing when it broke' flow - which I don't understand the relevance of and then the subsequent 'it is what it is' flow. I then decided that I had paid enough for shotty work and thought I should have at least been offered a discount if not a free service - because 1. you've gotten a lot more from me for things that I still took and got fixed elsewhere and two it's not fixed! I was told to take the bracelet without paying (okay cool) but it was thrown at me like a dog. I wouldn't return to this place for anything in the world. From the moment we walked into UGAD in Feb 2020, we knew it was going to be the most memorable experience. Just the sheer amount of attention to detail that existed from the initial visit where Mike explained all of the different aspects of the 4 C’s and took the time to go over every question we had, to the last visit where we picked up our rings and felt like we didn’t want the journey to end. Although a marriage is between two people, we felt like our relationship with this business and Mike was like a marriage with our last visit feeling like a divorce, while we scrambled to think of anything else we could customize or order so we could keep the tradition of monthly visits going. It was that serious ( although we do know that this is our jeweler for life, in the moment we were basket cases because going to UGAD was a highlight in our lives)!

We started out with a custom engagement ring that is literally a dream, a jaw dropper for anyone who sees it, to two wedding bands directly after, to a TAG watch repair ( literally now looks brand new) to a gold chain and two sterling silver chains. That is what UGAD is, a one stop shop for a customized experience, where you can get everything you need and can’t wait to visit because Mike, Fazil and team are amazing and make you feel like family. They accommodated every request, spent so much time with us going over every detail, made us feel so secure about our purchases and exceeded every single expectation. The talent and customer service is beyond words. I wear every piece with pride and my hubby, who never wore jewelry, is excited to keep adding to our collection. If I could give them 20 stars, I would. We can’t wait to go back to get our wedding bands engraved and customize jewelry for anniversaries and milestones (diamond earrings and a necklace sound amazing)! I started looking for places to buy an engagement ring on pretty short notice. Of all the places, Unique Gold and Diamonds stood out for me. Most places had very mixed reviews, but they had amazing reviews so I stopped by on a Friday after work. I came in to the store pretty nervous, no knowledge of engagement rings and with nothing but a few pictures of rings my girlfriend had hinted to me. I showed the owner/jeweler, Mike, the pictures and he showed me a few rings she might like. He also explained that he could make a ring from scratch and drew up a ring. It was a little out of my price range, but he said that they offer payment plans and financing. While it was a beautiful ring and I would have loved to get it, not once did I ever feel pushed or pressured into buying it. We went back to the original rings he had on hand that he showed me and there was one that stood out more to me, but still wasn't positive. He said that even if I get the ring and my girlfriend doesn't like it and wants something else, I could bring it in and what I already paid could be used towards the price of a different ring. This definitely made me feel much better and he even reassured me that based on the pictures I had shown him that she was going to like it. He just had to clean up the ring and resize it and told me to pick it up 3 days later. When I picked up the ring it was immaculate and even more beautiful than I expected. My fiance loves the ring and is constantly taking pictures with it and showing it off. Mike couldn't have been more of a help to me. He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and wanted to make sure I made the right choice and was happy with that choice.
