Sperling Park — Attraction in Clifton

I grew up in this park! I take my kids to this park because it's something I did as a child but its run down and if it weren't for the family's that keep coming and making it family oriented I would never step foot they're agian! Clifton needs to step up and fix that park up! Also they should have a fence all around the park to prevent kids from entering the street. Van hounten is a busy road and cars fly through red lights! I've witnessed kids get hit cars. My sister was hit by a car when she was 10 years old crossing along the cross walk to get to that park because an older man ran the red light. Thankfully she survived with a slight concussion but the fact remains clifton is has neglected...

Sperling Park, right in the heart of the Athenia section of Clifton, is a large, sectionalized park just one block off Van Houten Avenue. The park is split up into three sections, the playground, which has a large jungle gym, swings, and a basketball court, with a bit of open space for running around, and benches and tables for relaxing. In the middle there are tennis courts, and a still under construction court to be determined. On the east end of the park are three ballfields for baseball and softball, with a small batting cage. It's a nice park with 3 med size slides, and hanging bars for kids activities. It has 2 swing set for toddlers and 2 for bigger kids. Kids can play and run around the park and has 4 to 5 benches. 1 basket ball court and a tennis court...
