Black Dog Furniture and Mattress — Local services in Clinton Township

We ordered furniture in mid May and was told it would be here first week of June. Then we called first week of June and he said it wouldnt be here until June 22. June 22nd comes around and they're closed on Mondays. We call Tuesday and he says its en route. Hubs and I pulled out all exisiting furniture from our living room. Wait all day and call to see where they are around 5. He tells us its still in Wisconsin and they couldnt fit on the truck. Joey says man we just moved all our furniture out bc you said it was on its way. He got loud and said well you should of called before you moved your furniture out🙄 I call today to find out if in fact it is getting delivered today and he starts screaming at me that I cant call him everyday asking where my furnitures at. I explain that this is the first time Ive spoke with him at all and the last time my husband spoke with him was a week ago when he was telling us our furniture wouldn't be delivered. He continues to scream. I ask him why he's yelling at me and he tells me to come grab my money for a refund. Please take your business else where. This guy is so unprofessional and a story teller.

I cannot say enough good words about Arvind and Black Dog Furniture. I reached out to Arvind on Facebook marketplace back in early September regarding a sectional couch and a matching ottoman. Not only did Arvind agree to give me a discounted price for the bundle for paying in all cash, he also was extremely amenable and kind to work with. Due to work travel and personal engagements, I was not able to get to Black Dog furniture until late October to pick up my couch. However, Arvind was always in touch with me about when the couch and the ottoman would be delivered to Black Dog and I always felt at ease throughout the entire waiting period. When I arrived, they loaded up the sectional and the ottoman into my trailer very fast and without complaint (even though I made it harder on them by bringing a smaller trailer by accident 🤪). Now, I love my new couch and ottoman more than anything, it is finally making my house feel like a home.

We were driving by, on our way to a different furniture store to buy a king size box spring, when we got caught at the Moravian red light. I’ve seen this place a few times driving by and wondered what it was all about, so I called real quick to see if they had a box spring in stock and get a price. The guy that I talked to (didn’t get his name) gave me a good price and said to swing in now, and we could cash and carry. Went into the store and recognized the sales guy as a guy that sold us our sectional and recliner from art van a few years ago! Too funny. Anyways, great price, very nice quality box spring, was so glad they had it because other mattress stores didn’t want to sell the box spring individually as the Serta factory is allegedly closed down because everybody there has covid (what one mattress store told me) and box springs are on short supply. Ideal had no problem selling it separate, and even helped us carry it to our truck. I’ll be back for a table and some of the art on the wall! Definitely...
