I didn't want to give a 1 star review while angry and upset which is why I gave myself almost a month from the time this happened until now to cool down so I can disassociate my feelings and make this comment as objective as possible. If you don't want the details, here's the summary of my review: Three Graces Bridal was incapable of doing something so simple as reaching out to me to cancel my appointment. Instead they stood me up. If they can't stand by something so basic as their appointments, I don't know how anyone can trust something so important as their wedding gown to them.
What actually happened:
On January 13th I made an appointment with this establishment to go dress shopping for the 1st time since I'd became engaged. On the same date via email I was offered an appointment for January 16th which I took and was confirmed shortly after. On January 15th I received an email reminder for the appointment which I confirmed. On the day of the appointment, the weather was a little crappy because of the snow from the prior day which is why I decided to leave my home 30min early for my 45min drive in order to be able to make it on time to the appointment. Thankfully all the main roads were cleared so I made it to the store at 1:30pm for my 2pm appointment. Despite being standing outside in the rain looking at what's clearly a closed store, I waited 5min after 2pm to start calling the store, of course no answers. I went to my car and replied to the same email chain from where my appointment was confirmed just to make sure I wasn't there at the wrong date or time. They promptly replied to say that they "had called me" to reschedule. As you may have guessed by now, if they had actually called I would have not wasted 3hrs of my life for an appointment that never took place.
My mother lives overseas and she only comes to the US 3-4 days at a time only twice a year ( that's all her job allows her) so since I recently became engaged I was eager to go dress shopping with my mom! This was going to be my very 1st time doing anything wedding-related and I was even more excited that I was going to be able to do it while my mom was here. Well that never. happened and won't happen. Next time I see my mom will be at the wedding.
I cannot possibly see how this store could've known how special this appointment was to me so I don't blame them for taking that away from me, that's just my luck but I do blame them for the irresponsibility of cancelling without speaking with me or via email which is the way they had confirm the appointment to the begin with.
I understand mistakes happen, they dialed the wrong number when they cancelled my appointment but if a mistake so easy avoidable as this one escaped them, I certainly do not want to find out what kind of details will get out of hand with something so complex as a wedding grown.
I hope my experience with Three Graces Bridal has helped them improved their communication skills and customer service. I guess I'll never...
Read moreThis was the second bridal shop that I booked an appointment at on the hunt for my perfect dress. I actually had no idea what kind of dress I wanted so I went in with a small idea but basically told Kristin I would be willing to try everything from ballgown to mermaid. Kristin pulled a few dresses in addition to the ones we had picked for me to try on within the set budget and really helped to guide my indecisive personality when I began trying everything on and could easily read when I wasnt completely happy. Funny enough the first dress I put on was the most beautiful ballgown and ended up being the dress I chose. I tried on a few others after and ultimately kept comparing it that first gown. Kristin did not pressure me into purchasing the dress that day and understood we had another appointment to attend before I could say yes. The other appointment solidified I needed that dress I went back and we ordered it. I ended up having about 7 fittings to get it perfectly. Lydia, the seamstress worked so hard to ensure every adjustment I had been requesting came out perfectly. 7 fittings may seem like a lot but this dress was very detailed, I considered wearing a petticoat under and then decided against it, it had to be taken in because I lost weight, the bustle had 16 points, the horsehair was removed, we added padding to the bust and took it in even further and much more. So there was a lot that needed to happen and it turned out PERFECT I cried out of joy and excitement at my final fitting. It did get frustrating because time was ticking but my advice to anyone choosing a ballgown is to be patient & just know that they want it to be perfect for you and that it may take a bit longer to tailor. Pauline and Pam were there to assist with any questions or concerns and help my mom and mother in law figure out my very detailed bustle lol. Everyone here is so wonderful & very professional & will give you a lot of guidance as you go through the process. Pauline took the time to create a very detailed diagram for my bustle and a print out of instructions on how to get me into my dress. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for the...
Read moreThree Graces is the BEST bridal salon. The entire staff were beyond LOVELY to work with. I was a pandemic bride.... postponed our big day 4 times because my husband is European and could not enter the US (huge delays at the US Embassies for K1 visas). We were apart for over 495 days... so all things wedding related (including the dress!) became really challenging for me to think about. The salon actually stored my gown for me for over a year because of this. Pauline (owner) and the rest of the lovely women at Three Graces could not have been more patient, supportive, understanding and kind during this crazy and tumultuous time.
Finding my dress (a Maggie Sottero fit and flare gown with lace and beading) couldn't have been easier... and after some negative experiences at other bridal salons, I felt so at ease and in such capable hands with the Three Graces team. As a mid-size curvy girl, I was super anxious about finding the perfect dress... but the ladies at Three Graces were beyond helpful and made me feel SO beautiful, from the minute I walked in, to the moment we left. The salon is intimate, beautiful and dreamy. There were PLENTY of amazing options from popular designers, and the prices were all really reasonable.
Mother of the brides - this is for you too! Three Graces also carried Mother of the Bride gowns - and my mom found hers here too. After such a positive experience finding my gown, we again had success for my Mom.
I couldn't be more grateful for Three Graces Bridal - you made my wedding day so beyond special. You will always have a special place in my heart. I would 1000% recommend any bride...
