My Silverado had to have a torque converter replaced. Filed a claim with my warranty company from when I purchased the vehicle. The first time I brought it to them to diagnose and Deacon wanted to charge $4300 PLUS to replace it. The warranty company only was going to cover $3700 of it because of 1. The labor rate for deacon jones was WAY out of what they wanted to cover 2. Deacon wanted to use an aftermarket seal/gasket. I decided to call my warranty company and ask for a recommendation as to where I can take it to where I wouldnât have to come out of pocket for the repair. In the meantime of me trying to find another shop the service advisor (Josh) called me from deacons number, texted me from Iâm assuming a personal number AND called me from another number which to me is harassment.. BEGGING me to bring the truck back to them. The warranty company got back with me on a place and I took it to harrells automotive in Fayetteville (HIGHLY recommend) and within a few hours of it being there I had deacon jones (Josh) calling me begging AGAIN for me to bring my truck back to them that they magically can fore-go the $4300 original price and make it to where the warranty company could cover it (under $3700) so I wouldnât have to come out of pocket. Side note: Why charge $4300 in the first place? Assuming they were trying to scam the warranty company or myself out of extra money anyways the service advisor I was dealing with (Josh) begged me to bring it back to them and asked âhow soon can you get it to me so we can start workâ I agreed to bring it back to them for the simple fact that they were going to charge me 1. Diagnostic fee and 2. A restocking fee from the first time I brought the truck there. I had the truck and the key turned into deacon jones within 45 minutes (around 130pm wends 26 February). I assumed being that he TOLD ME the parts were there and they were going to start working on it and the fact he begged me to get it there asap I would atleast have it back Thursday or Friday right? WRONG WRONG WRONG Josh told the warranty company that itâs a 4 day job but told me since they have stuff there already for it it shouldnât take that long. Well my rental car only lasted until Saturday because of the promise from Josh it would be finished before then⊠also after I dropped my truck off on wends I spent the next DAY AND A HALF trying to get ahold of him for updates, I finally got ahold of him Thursday right before 5pm.. and he said it was next in line to go in the shop so itâll probably be done Friday. (Another lie) I called Friday because AGAIN no communication and it wasnât even Josh I spoke to Friday they said MAYBE Monday evening. Well I was out of a vehicle most of the weekend because of this. Monday rolls around and AGAIN I have to CALL THEM for answers and updates.. Finally got ahold of them Monday evening and got told it would be MAYBE lunchtime tomorrow (Tuesday). Tuesday rolls around and AGAIN having to chase Josh down and CALL REPEATEDLY he said at 11am (mind that it was supposed to be done at lunchtime) that âheâs almost done and it should be good to go but If you donât get a call from me that itâll be tomorrow when itâs finishedâ Around 330pm I call AGAIN because YET AGAIN, NO UPDATE. Josh said âheâs actually pulling it out now to test drive itâ so I asked âso I can come up there and pick it up todayâ Josh replied âjust sit tight because our tech likes to put a lot of miles on it before itâs doneâ not even about 15 minutes later he called back and told me my truck is finished. So what did he do drive it 5 miles? I go up there to pick my truck up almost a WEEK later. When I get my key back the rubber cover on it is torn and not in the same condition it was when I dropped it off and my truck was FILTHY. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Do Not Take Your Vehicle To This Dealership. They got my 2005 Toyota 4 runner on 10-24-18 an i have just today got it back 11-15-18.Took it in for a simple oil change and they came back with my water pump was leaking an it was time to change my timing belt so i said if it needs it take care of it. Next phone call i got i was told it had jumped timing, damaged a piston, an my values an head had to be fixed. When i took it in it was running fine with no problems. Indeed they gave me a rental to drive and took some off my bill which still left me with 833.00 to pay but my truck now has some water on dip stick which they denied but you can't take away what you see with your own eyes. An there is a tapping noise which they say every vehicle has, but mine never had before i took it in with 150k miles on it. Nate the Service Manager was very rude an was ready for me to take vehicle away "we have done all we can do, you are going to have to return rental today an tow yours away" What kind of business is this, he was so busy telling a customer that her transmission has gone out an to come look at some new Toyotas that they had some great deals on that he couldn't even take time with me when his office staff was there Curt and some blonde girl. And his Service Technician couldn't even tell me that there was no oil on my dip stick, all he could tell me was i had to talk to Nate he want allow to say anything then when Nate brought him in to tell me if there was water on it or not all he could say was there was no water in oil,, i kept asking an he would Not say there want any on the dip stick only that moisture and weather NO NO NO never should there be water in your oil... These people will do anything to get out of taking care of there customers who they messed up bad.... an then try to make out that you don't know what you are talking about and try to dismiss you. An i know i'm on my own that if anything else goes wrong with it due to there SCREW UP of my motor. An dodge phone calls they will, they put it off on each other Kurt was suppose to pass the word for Nate to call me but no phone call then Nate said i called you no 3 calls in 3 weeks any communication over that i had to do. Huge shout out to Jonathan Fernandez for having an amazing honest team of great sellers. He went and offered me a deal that showed he really wanted to understand me even if it was a bitter argument but he still worked with me and kept his professional attitude.
Overall if you do read this I would have given this place a zero for there finance guy. He became inpatient and aggressively acted out. If this car wasn't for my mom. I would have left and they'd have no sale. I had questions and felt more confident a certain way. The navy fed bank told me to wait and verify the information on the check was correct before I signed it. Instead he wanted me to sign it and leave it without the info. Just didn't sit well with me so I explained I felt more comfortable waiting. Guy just got mad when I'm the person buying. Man was just messed up. Didn't apologize so seemed like he doesn't care. This place is a great place. Maybe the guy had a bad day. Either ways be cautious and I gave it a 5 because the first two people stood out and they worked hard to give me a great opportunity to buy . They deserve a raise for sure and will earn 5 stars for this place all the time....
