Sampson Community College — Local services in Clinton

I went to Sampson community college for the RETA ammonia refrigeration operator 1 course and was amazed at the information that I was taught during the class! The instructor Francis Leerkes was great at teaching and making sure that all of the students in my class understood the safe work practices and shared tons of knowledge with each of us. It was pretty amazing to describe the system that I have at my workplace and then Mr. Leerkes would draw it up on the board and explain each detail of each piece of equipment so that I had a true understanding of the system that I was working with. And then he would draw up the other student system from the plant that they worked at and explained how it all worked which also gave me knowledge of how other plants operate. I would highly recommend that anyone interested in Ammonia refrigeration to not hold back but to get enrolled today so that you can get the knowledge that this instructor has in the field of Ammonia...

"Sampson Community...Where Students Come First". They should change that motto. I have spoken and emailed Janette Rackley MULTIPLE times to get my college transcripts. I have been mailed someone elses transcripts THREE times now. So there's an invasion of privacy to that person. I literally can not understand how they "cant find them" when they discovered I had an unpaid parking ticket from 2010...they found that, but cant find my transcripts. 😒After dealing with this lady for 3 months, I contacted the PRESIDENT of the college. It has been 2 and a half weeks and I still have no transcript. At this point I am over dealing with this issue and will probably start college from scratch. Which is DEVASTATING since I was only a few credits away from having my associates degree. I am not joking when I say I have been on them for months to get them and I'm still...

I do not recommend Sampson Community College! I am currently taking a paramedic refresher course through them and keep getting enrolled in other classes. I’ve also had to call and tell them several times I’m not supposed to be signed up for these extra classes. Every time I call, I’m transferred to different people because the person I’m talking to says they aren’t the right one who knows what to do. And when I signed up for the class originally, it was confusing and I called and asked for help. The woman I talked to then said I had signed up for other classes but she would take me out of them, but...
