Maybe the best course in central California. Typical Johnny Miller course - a lot of variety (no two holes a like) and large, spralling, undulating greens. And the crew keeps it in very good condition.
Anyone from a 30 to a single digit handicap index will enjoy this course. But beware, you need to hone your putting skills, both in stroke/distance control, and in green reading. (The first time I played this course I wanted to shoot bogey golf so badly. Shot a 91...with 43 putts!I had so much fun, and was so frustrated at the same time. Great day!)
The changes in elevation make this course sooooo much fun. And yes, you cn loose golf balls here if you can't keep it close ot the fairway, but I can't think a another course in the area that offers so many different looks and such wonderful shot-making risk-reward...
Read morePlayed a few tournaments here and had a wonderful time, however recently went for a bachelor party and we were constantly harassed by two different Marshalls. We called ahead and they told us a large group would be fine as long as we reserved multiple tee times. We had 7 people, and they sent two different marshalls to follow us and harass us to split up. We were not holding anyone up, or causing any trouble, but the Marshall told us it was about “image” and we had to split up. And then continued to harass us from a distance and watch us golf. And as we were leaving the parking lot, he flipped us the middle finger. Very professional. For $80 you would think we could enjoy a round of golf. Will never...
Read moreBeautiful course. Never had an issue with it. Only thing was just recently myself and 2 buddies drove up to play at the course. Our cart showed we were ahead of pace by 2 minutes, and one of the workers came up to us letting us know we had to pick up the pace? I did not want to say something, but we were not holding anybody up. There was a group of 4 two holes behind us. Made us feel like we were being rushed and could not enjoy the view nor the expensive course...
