The Vet may be great, but it’s sad when the people you have as the face of your business are rude on the phone. I called to find out if they offer puppy packages for vaccinations etc. The woman on the phone was extremely rude telling me no they don’t offer packages; like my question was preposterous. I asked if she could give me a rough estimate of the costs then because the puppy has not had any shots or exam or anything (we’re getting it from someone who hasn’t taken care of it). She acted irritated that I was even asking these questions then told me, “first of all we don’t have any appointments until later in June.” I said, “okay, thank you” and hung up. How hard is it to be kind on the phone? I guess she is just a miserable person that hates her life. Maybe she is just lazy. my dayzeemay reached her end of life at 10 years old way too soon ,she went downhill in less than a week and i had to make the hardest decision there is to make and say goodbye. i called dr shirkey and exlpained to the receptionist what was going on with dayzee and he got her in immediatly with no appointment hes quite the caring man ,my nephew sat with dayzeemay as he took care of her final moments i just couldnt do it. i have the highest respect for him and call him a friend and thank him for the care he gave dayzeemay her 10...

Great people who care about your pet. I had an emergency and my previous vet couldn't see my pet. Earlier appt was days away. I called Shirkey who asked how soon I could get my pet there!!

Unfortunately they are not open on the weekends and hours open are rather short for those folks who work.

They are also a little pricey. Prescriptions are less expensive at chewy. Since my pet doesn't have a lot of meds, I think it is worth paying a little more to keep local independent vet clinic in business. I'd strongly...
