Dollar General — Local services in Coal Valley

I have to agree with others that are complaining. I gave rave reviews on this particular store when I moved back here 3 years ago...it was so clean, organized, uncluttered and the staff were A-1...Now, I'm dreading going there. I've noticed management has changed several times and each time the store worsens. I used to work for the Coal Valley $ General store as an assistant manager back in 2000 and was responsible for being a temp manager to open the Milan store when it was just getting started....so I have an idea of how things used to get done and we never ever looked as poorly or treated our customers with such indifference as I've noticed as of late...PLEASE SAVE OUR CV $ GENERAL....Get some...

Hard to get to some products because there is always something in the way. Didn't realize store was closing said they made 2 announcements but didn't ear either because I was in the back corner and the music was blasting. I apologized but they still made me feel dumb. It's so close and nice to be in town but I'll be avoiding it as much as possible maybe stay open a little later Friday...

I thought Colona DG was bad but at least they clean. Coal Valley DG not only hadent been swept in days but the floor was also covered in merchandise! Only 2 people working, one at register and the other hiding in the office. If an employee can walk past it, pick it up and try CLEANING! I won't be back!
