Block House Beach — Local services in Cocoa Beach

Great place to visit the beach This beach can be reached from the parking lot about ¼ mile north of the north entrance to Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB) and just south of the SFB Beach House. It is a large parking lot on the East (Atlantic) side of the road. There is one entrance with a light which makes it convenient to depart because you can depart to the north or south on A1A. The parking lot entrance is on the southern end of the parking lot. The parking lot has about 100 parking spaces. There is a boardwalk on the southern part of the location. There are several direct entrances from the parking lot on the northern entrance. There are no bathrooms or buildings in the parking lot. There is a beach house to the northern end of the lot that is not associated with the lot and I believe is only open to active duty or retired military. The beach at this area is about 100-200 feet wide depending on the tide. Block House Beach is across from the main gate to Patrick Space Force Base. Lots of parking, usually not over crowded, and just a nice place to go to if you want to relax, swim, surf, or fish. Block House has restrooms, outside showers to rinse sand off, and in the summer months the bar will be open on the weekends and you can buy drinks and typical food types of fare.
