I honestly canāt say enough good things about the staff at Posh Paw.
Iām going to start with the vet best first-Melly. Melly has been my dogs Groomer for more then a decade now. I canāt imagine anyone else working on my dogs. She is calm, skilled, and works exceptionally hard to give your dog the very best breed cut, or a cut that makes your dog look incredible. My dogs donāt come home overly stressed or upset after getting groomed. Thatās not easy for every groomer to do. Melly strives to make sure your dog is always treated calmly with kindness and it shows on your dogs. I really feel Melly is the very best Groomer in the DFW area.
Because I foster and adopt some difficult and damaged dogs, I worry that the animals might not be good to their groomer. Iām not sure how she does it, but she is the true dog whisperer. She has even gotten the most damaged dog Iāve ever come across to be good for her. (A crazy little Yorkie) I canāt say it enough that Melly works her magic and can transform the scruffiest into an outstanding looking dog. I have no doubts or fears when dropping my dogs off at Posh Paw. I canāt think of one bad thing to say about Melly. I first found her because I had two West Highland White Terriers and my last groomer moved. It isnāt easy finding a groomer who can do a Westie cut correctly. Melly is tremendously accurate in the correct Westie cut.
Now that Iām fostering and rescuing, I can honestly say that so far Iāve not found any breed cut that Melly doesnāt knock out of the ballpark. Iāve been stopped numerous times and asked, Who does my dogs grooming? Melly really is the best.
Additionally, I can tell you that all the Posh Paw staff is exceptionally good about making sure everyone coming to this business stays safe, well and happy. All dogs coming there have the correct shot records and anything else to keep your dog healthy at all times. This too includes keeping everything as clean as possible. I can also say a big Thank you for their help when Iāve forgotten to get my updated paperwork(shot records) in early. The Front desk staff are so calming and always help when I need it. Truly a Godās send compared to other places. They never make you feel bad, instead are just helpful. I donāt even have to ask, they offer to make your experience 5 star.
Courtney, at the front desk is amazing shining star. You know that she can work miracles in keeping everything happening when I bring in 4 dogs at a time. Iāve found that if Courtney says she will handle things that I can relax. Because if she says she will get it done, she will. Plus, she always has a smile and a thank you no matter how crazy her day may be going.
I know the reason this business has excellent people working there. The Owners want you and your animals to be happy and safe. If I had any critique it would be to wish for more help in grooming. But I also know that Posh Paw is not going to hire just anyone. They want to hire exceptional people so they can give you and your animals only the best care. I would never want to stop using Melly, but I also worry for her. She works really hard. Regardless of never complaining, unfortunately sometimes getting in can be a wait. Please be patient. Melly is totally worth any extra effort on my part to try and get appointments.
Thank you Melly, Courtney and the whole staff at Posh Paw for all you do. Iām booking my appointments as far in advance as I can to make it easier on you. I know it hasnāt been easy finding slots at times for my group. You are all greatly appreciated by my family.
One last thing, donāt forget to tip your groomer. They work hard to keep our dogs looking and smelling amazing. š
Note: No, Iām not personally related to anyone at Posh Paw. Iām just a long term client that truly respects someone who is talented and exceptionally kind. Melly is the Best...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt is with a heavy heart that I have to write this review and share my latest experience with Posh Paw Resort in Colleyville at 1808 Industrial Boulevard. I would not be able to sleep at night if I did not inform you all of the treatment my sweet Buddy experienced last week. We went through our usual drop off experience with staff. Filled out all the necessary paperwork for extra playtime and designated snack days. Walked to the doggy door and said goodbye for his 7 day vacation. On Saturday evening we checked Buddyās suite camera and noticed he did not eat his dinner. I just figured he was a little stressed and would surely eat in the morning. At 6 am I checked the camera again and still a full bowl. For the next 3 1/2 hours as we finished packing for our trip I watched the camera to see when they would finally go to check on him and NOTHING! I finally decided to call knowing it was Sunday and technically they are not open. The phone was answered by their out of country answering and scheduling service..absolutely no help to me. I hung up and continued to call the office number all while I was in my Uber and on my way to the airportā¦Finally and just by luck someone answered the phone. I immediately expressed my concern for the fact that my dog had not eaten all day on Saturday and it was after 930 and he had not even been let out to go potty. I asked if he had any idea why Buddy was not taking out to go potty yet. He placed me on hold and we watched on the camera as they finally went to his suite and ran him outside where he clearly had to go potty. When he came back to the phone, he told me that the other caretakers did not know if he or the dog next to him had been out since Saturday afternoon. I told him that I know he hasnāt because Iāve been watching the camera since 6am. He apologized and said they were ānewā and have not been adequately trained. What?! The poor dog that was next to Buddy was so stressed that he would stand on his hind legs and press his face and paws through the top of his suite and bark and jump. It was so sad to watch. After he assured me that it would never happen again, we left on our trip. As soon as I made it to my destination I checked on Buddy and he still had not eaten breakfast or dinner. There was nothing done to enhance his appetite even though I gave permission for them to add wet food or broth onto his dry food. All they did was keep putting bowls of food in his suite and bowls of water. There was food all over the floor and nothing ever was cleaned up. I could no longer watch as my poor dog was being neglected. I was able to contact my nephew and he agreed to pick him up on Monday morning at 8am. Weāve used Posh Paw for several years- but I found out that itās under new ownership, which has drastically changed in the way things are being run and the way the animals are being treated! I went back yesterday to demand a full refund that I was charged for Saturday and Sunday. The very same employee that I talked to about my concern told me that they are not aloud to reduce the amount of animals being taken in and cared for in order to concentrate more on training new hire employees⦠Which to me sounds like corporate greed!! Please everyone read the current Google reviews (I wish I had) Iām going to include in the comments a message I received from an employee who could no longer stand to watch the horrible treatment going on a Posh! If I could give this place no stars I most...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am delayed in writing this review. I honestly don't like writing negative reviews however, I feel it is important to pass along the experiences I had with this facility. The first time I took my dog here, I was excited because the facility really is nice. Their cameras weren't working so I have no idea what happened during his stay. He seemed fine when I picked him up and he was his normal excited-to-see-me and go home. The second time I took him the cameras were working. Like many other dog moms, I checked the cameras incessantly. He was in his kennel every hour of the entire day for two days. I noticed multiple times that his blanket had been removed. Upon my return, the manager told me that he had diarrhea. I asked why he wasn't taken out more often and why he wasn't taken to the play areas at all. Her reply was that he was sick. Okay well if you take him outside, he won't poop all over his blanket. She simply stated that they did take him out, I just didn't see it on the camera. She also stated that I should consider paying extra for one on one time so I don't feel so upset. Really? How about you just provide the service I am paying for? So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to try one more time. During the third visit to PoshPaws, I had my spouse checking the cameras all day everyday for the first two days (not including the Sunday) of his visit. He was in his kennel the entire time and was not taken to the doggy daycamp areas. So my spouse called them. They finally took him to the camp area but only for about 1.5 hours. The third day he was in camp area for half the day. When I picked him up, they had taken his food and improperly divided it into baggies. Subsequently there was food left over and he was only being fed 1/4 of his normal food allowance each day. He lost 4 pounds during his stay because of their mistakes. He did not need to lose 4 pounds as I completely manage his weight. While there picking him up I asked to speak to the manager (I think her name is Kimberly). She refused to speak to me inside the lobby there and insisted on going outside to chat. It was 100 degrees outside so I can only imagine she didn't want me to be making my complaints because there are cameras in the lobby recording everything. She had every excuse for why my dog was mistreated and no apologies whatsoever. I honestly don't care about getting any monetary credit, this is flat out abuse and neglect, not to mention breach of contract for the service s they told me I was paying for. It is VERY unfortunate that she is the manager of this facility and that some dogs visits are not nearly as good as others. I would recommend that you check into other facilities before using PoshPaws.
To the GM, Ann, that's convenient that my account cannot be located. Perhaps it was deleted by your manager? That manager told me she would let you know about the situation and you would contact me. I never heard from anyone in your organization ever again. There really is nothing that will change my post here. I was as polite as one can be in a situation like this. It's simple, provide the services you tell someone they will receive and people won't complain. It's clear I am not the only one who has had some complaints. I hope for the sake of all dogs who visit your organization that you guys make...
