Pawn King — Local services in Collinsville

There are no negative stars ,so i had to give 1..This place is horrible..i would strongly recommend doing buisness elsewhere..i pawned a $4000 guitar here for $150 ,3 times First 2 times i reclaimed without issue The 3rd time i missed a payment due to being sick with covid I went in a few days late to pay in full. I was advised by the woman employee i was late,but she looked it up on their computer and said they still had it ..but after talking another employee out of ear shot She came back and told me that it had been sold and wasnt there. With my past reclaiming history and extenuating circumstances, they could have worked with me I would strongly recommend doing buisness elswhere

There is no reply option so i will respond via (edit) i got a response from the owner saying " sorry your experience wasnt awesome.what can we do to make it right" Is it pawn kings policy to look on computer tell customers their pawned item were there..then come back and tell them " nope items been sold" 3 days after payment is missed?? To make it right..i would get guitar back..im willing to pay in full amount owed..in fact i was willing to pay in full when i went to reclaim it. Is it pawn kings policy to take advantage of their customers? Its been 4 months since i got "sorry your experience wasnt awesome What can we do to make it right " response..still not a peep from them This place is why pawnshops got the seedy reputation that they have I cant emphasize enough DO BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!! That they are a righteous business Nothing could be further from the truth,I never heard another peep from them I am disabled and probably won't be able to acuire another quailty guitar like that one..I'm bad for thinking this place was legit..this place is why pawnshops have seedy reputation..do yourself a favor go somewhere else..have to update via edit..ok folks still haven't heard a peep from these people..I guess the "sorry your experience wasn't awesome " crap..is just a generic txt..that this business post anytime they get a unfavorable review..that is aimed a duping the public into thinking they are a legit business...I haven't heard a peep from them since they posted it..don't be fooled people go elsewhere you'll be glad you did!!!!!..people do not be fooled by the "Sorry your experience wasn't awesome...what can we do to make it right..response from these people it just to mislead the review reading public..its been 3 years now since I received it..and haven't heard another peep from these indecisive systers..do yourself a huge favor...

The workers are friendly to me for the most part but I have heard them be very rude and sarcastic to other customers and they are not very professional at all. The place is very very small and even though they have one whole aisle (which is 1/4 of the shop) dedicated to laptops they are all old and outdated and they want a fortune for them. 1/2 of the store is jewelry which I never look at so no clue if it's any good. The other 1/4 is split between tools, radio equipment, and a few random things. It doesnt look dirty but it feels dirty lol the stuff is just all old and way overpriced..I bumped it up a star cause you asked how you could help and that is commendable. I can't figure out how to respond to your comment except to edit this one so: I don't really mind your store much, just some of the workers are rude and I think you should have someone a little more knowledgeable about computers there or maybe just someone who has enough drive to learn. It's a pawn shop though and I don't mind going there to pawn things regardless. Most of your other reviews are pretty good so mine won't make or break you anyway. Now you at a 3 and 3 out of 5 ain't that bad lol..(in my meatloaf 2 out of 3 ain't bad singing voice which is bad 😂) have a good day thanks for asking how you could make it better. I have bought a lot of jewlery from this place over the past few years and have always been satisfied. Being a pawn shop sometimes you run into flaws with items that you or the pawn shop can't see at the time of the sale. The few times out of a hundred that I've had problems with an item, the pawn shop manager (nice lady, very professional) has always done what was fair for me and the pawn shop, to make it right. They also seem to be one of the few pawn shops that look out for their customers. I frequent every pawn shop in the St. Louis area and I would honestly rank this pawn shop towards the top when it comes to integrity. I'm not saying they're perfect, but it seems like they're constantly trying to get better and correct their mistakes in the future. Also it seems like the more you spend, the more they're willing to work with you when it comes to prices. My suggestion would be to save up and try to negotiate a deal on...
