Village Market Food Center — Local services in Colon Township

Better name for it is village mark up. Everything there is way over priced. The staff is not very friendly either. Last week while I was there, an old woman who was working walked up to me. (during the Covid-19 pandemic) She grabbed my shoulder, and told me I need to pull my mask up. It had fallen off my nose as i was looking at groceries. She blatantly broke the social distance order we have in place and physically grabbed me. Of course, she wasn’t even wearing a mask, she had a clear plastic face shield on instead, which is scientifically proven not to protect you from Covid germs. As if the hypocrisy wasn’t bad enough, as i was going through the check out line the man running the cash register had his mask down BELOW his nose, the same thing i did that got me brutally harassed.... I had a hard time falling asleep that night. I will not...

Poor service!!! Lines take forever! Bad fruit and veggies! The atm wont give money but still charge you and they wont do anything about it! They are a scam and over priced! They have an amazing santa clause who gave them a great price then only paid him half and lied to him. The manager and assistant manager are worthless and lazy! Went there today(4/21/24) a purchased some stuff and the cashier got really loud and rude with me all because I move the divider to put behind my stuff for the next customer. That was uncalled for no reason at all.. she then tells me I can’t do that because it was separating my items from the person in front of me, but the problem was, he was already paying for his stuff.
