I'm in town working for a few days I stopped in for lunch and I had the grilled cheese, which sounded very interesting because it was blue cheese and cheddar cheese and bacon Jam on focaccia. I took it to go when I opened the box everything was nicely wrapped Perry to get a bag of chips with it for $12. But the problem was this thing was covered with whole grain mustard, and when I mean covered I'm talking about covered as in the whole sandwich was covered in mustard was coming out of the sides of it. I greatly dislike the sandwich. I like blue cheese I like grilled cheese and I like bacon Jam but this mustard was overpowering everything! It tasted like a mustard sandwich with some texture of cheese. In fact you can see the picture how it just kind of fell apart in my hands when I picked it up. I think this would be better with just a little bit of mustard on it not completely covered with it. Another thing is I thought it was overpriced they have a children's version of the grilled cheese which is just cheddar cheese and that's $8. To buy one soda it's $5 I just think that's ridiculous $3 is the maximum. They did give me a free chocolate chip cookie which was very good I bought some banana bread which I think was like $5 I didn't think to ask them whether it had nuts or chocolate in it, and it did so I didn't like it but I think it's very good if you do I'm a purist when it comes to banana bread I'd rather just have the banana. You would think out here in the country the prices would be reasonable and not like extreme like in Chicago but I stopped at a gas station that sold...
Read moreStopped in for a carry-out lunch and had the pot roast sandwich, black truffle chips, and the Bravos potato salad — every item was outstanding. The sandwich was generously stacked with melt in your mouth pot roast + giardianera & the bun was sooo good (you can tell they make them fresh in house). The chips had a bold truffle taste, and the potato salad was delicious (bravas style that reminded me of Spain). Farrand Hall Bakery is next level! I’ll...
