My husband called for a price on a sheet of plywood and was told $74. It was more expensive that Lowe's price of $62, but Wolfe's is more convenient and we are always about supporting local businesses.

We needed the wood cut into 24x36 inch pieces (6 of them) with 2 smaller remnants of 24x24. Since they won't cut until it's paid for, my mother-in-law offered to stop by to pay since she would be in that area during the week. When she went in, she was told the price was over $90. What? Try to take advantage of a woman much? She got my husband on the phone. After the staff spoke with my husband, the price miraculously dropped back to $74.

I went with my husband on Saturday to pick up our wood. When we pulled in and showed our receipt, we were presented with 1 (yes, 1) piece of wood 24x36. When we asked where was the rest of our sheet of plywood, we were informed that we had purchased 1 piece of wood 24x36 inches for $74. There was no reasoning with the man outside. We went inside to speak with the staff. No one inside could help us. We were told we needed to speak with manager. He was on break. There was no knowing when he might be back.

We got a refund and headed to Lowe's, where we got a full sheet of plywood cut as requested for $62. At Wolfe's rate, the full sheet would have cost somewhere around $540. We will never walk into...
