Dream date turned to ....
My whole life I have wanted to go to the pottery place like this and what better time on your first valentines with your man. Right? Wrong this was the worst experience. They canceled day of due to the snowstorm coming in that night and next morning. We’re getting ready to go down to Columbia so excited when I was a little concerned that I hadn’t heard anything from anybody after prepaying $100 a month in advance. So, I took to Instagram only to see No post on their wall saying canceled or closing early we were still so excited Assuming I’d hear from them before the event I went to message them. After communicating with the owner Trisha, we found out it was canceled, I then let them know to call my man and discuss refund options as he was the one who paid. Knowing they were closing early at 4 pm this day (posted on Instagram post after we communicated) He was expecting a call sometime before this. 3:30 rolls around and yet we still have not heard from them my man calls them on the number on the receipt as the number on the website was not answering. Trisha answers the phone call in an unprofessional manner, and she stated she texted my man and she was unable to provide information clearly about the canceled event and my man was very confused and Trisha said she would call back with some answers about what she could do. Meanwhile I am in tears, yes I know super silly but I was so disappointed as I had been longing to do this my whole life and I was so excited for my first valentine with my man because last year he was overseas and we weren’t able to celebrate together. The Mule town community has been so wonderful up until this experience with Trisha. She never called My man back and he had to call her, on this phone call she frustrated he had called again, and she was very short with her answers and abruptly hung up and we had not answer. He tried to call back a few times and I also did, and she ended up texting me "who is this?" I replied asking about the event is this Mule town Pottery and so on she then said, "how did you get this number it is a personal cell phone...." I replied and let her know it was on the receipt she then accused me of lying and said I did not see this number on the receipt. This was totally unacceptable. I then sent her a picture of my receipt with the number. 6 days later we finally get a call from a mule town pottery employee she was unable to issue an refund and got Trisha on the phone to help with this Trisha stated there will be NO REFUND AT ALL and only wanted us to reschedule or take a gift card, because of the way we were treated we will never step foot in the doors of Mule Town Pottery again as we do not want to support people who do not treat their customers nicely or appropriately this is why we need our refund of $100 dollars. My man then stated on the phone he will get the bank involved and do it the more difficult way as Trisha was unwilling to refund us for a canceled event. We never signed a document saying no refunds no one stated there would be no refunds in person or online. If this was stated to us, we would have not paid this money in advance. Another thing to note when we first went in the shop on January 17th to prepay the person at the check-out was disorganized uncommunicative and confused right off the bat bad service. Please think twice before you go here. I hate having to write this, but it is needed so others do not get...
Read moreFive stars isn’t even enough to rate this place! Infinite stars!!! I absolutely love going to Muletown Pottery. The owner, Trisha, has gone above and beyond to make this place fun and relaxing. Her employees are always polite, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. With such a wide selection of pottery to choose from and reasonable prices you can’t skip this place if you’re looking to get out of the house for a few hours alone, with your kids, or even some friends!! They always have special nights and events going on (Thursday nights are Ladies Night and they are my FAV!) but most of the time during the week they have open studio hours. Seriously go look them up on Facebook or give them a follow on Instagram, heck go stop in and say hey while looking around (who knows, maybe you’ll find a piece to paint and stay awhile)! Trisha, thank you for bringing some creative and relaxing fun to Columbia!! Also thank you for employing an awesome group of...
Read moreI cannot begin to express what a blessing Trisha has been to our family! She has taken her pottery to my grandmother’s assistant living facility and let them paint. When the pandemic hit, the facility wouldn’t let anyone in and my grandmother was so disappointed. Trisha started selling me pieces and filling me little paint containers that I could take to my grandmother. Every time I bring her a piece, grandmother’s eyes light up! Thank you Trisha for being so gracious! You give my grandmother an opportunity to be normal, to express her creativity, to be able to give gifts to her loved ones, and to feel free even for just a little while. This year has been tough for businesses but you have never let on about how hard it has been when I come in. I am just greeted with a smile and “how is your grandmother doing?”. Everyone should come by and experience this friendly pottery store. The prices are good. The selection is great and the people...
