Bexley Commons — Local services in Columbus

I live here and to be honest.....as a tenant that I lived in 5 different states of USA, here in Columbus, in Bexley Commons Apartments is my worst experience. I am a really clean, neat and organize person . I don't blame the management are the only one that is responsible for the maintenance of the property. We, as a tenants, if we don't take care of our places, management won't do it neither. Outside it is disgusting and derty because I saw a lot of tenants throwing the trash out of the dumpsters. I can come home at any time overnight and the place is quite. I never see any disturb here. But about maintenance of the property is horrible. It's a derty place, tenants through garbage everywhere, tenants smoke inside the apartments, inside the buildings, no just cigarettes or cigars, they smoke marihuana too, and that smell go directly to my place. Since I moved here.... Nov 17th, 2017....I got frustrated because I don't know how many more work order I have to do to get remove the mold and mildew that I have in my lining closet, in my water heater closet and in my front door. I tried to fix on my own the most that I can but this is not my responsability. I like my apartment, it is comfortable, big enough for one person, the rent is really affordable but the owners doesn't want to invest money on here. I always pay my rent on time, I just have a complaint about the tenant that live in top of my apartment that they don't care that someone live in the first floor and they make a lot of noice during the night time. I have pictures about my mold and they have them at the office because I emailed them to them but they just fixed my bottom kitchen cabinets and after 4 months finally they fixed my bathtub. I have roaches but I keep my place totally clean, without trash and I good spray and finally I got rid of those roaches. I never had bed bugs. I tried my best to stay here the most that I can until I get my money together to buy my own place that way I won't have to deal anymore with situations like this. If someone ask me if I recommend this property I would say.......if you want to save money... yes, but have to be prepare to fix your apartment in your own like I do it by myself. I can't open my windows because as soon as I do it the window fell out. So..... I still live here, I enjoy my apartment but I am not totally happy. If they fix what has to be fix, mold and mildew (really bad for your health, can kill you)....I won't complaint any more. Lived here and in the beginning I was told I would receive new tile in my kitchen and my bathroom because it was raggedy and torn and this NEVER HAPPENED. Then my air conditioning went out and it was "fixed" twice before it actually was back working and it was the middle of summer! In no time I seen ROACHES in my apartment and not soon after I was being eaten alive as I slept from BED BUGS. I was then evicted ILLEGALLY I brought in the money on the last day that was SPECIFICALLY told of me and then CASSANDRA lied and said I owed more. I told her I would go and get the money and come right back, she wouldn't allow me and the maintenance sat my things outside in the rain She always had a nasty attitude and was always smug. I've lived here for almost two decades and it has went downhill. The new management can only do so much. The property owners believe that $800 to $900 is affordable but they have gouged the rent prices. Rent did range from $470 to $680. We deal with pests like drain flies, roaches, and mice. The updates are cheap and not worth the increase. It is no longer affordable. Vision and Beyond are unprofessional have no integrity, compassion or respect for the residents.
