Columbus Ohio Temple — Local services in Columbus

Not only is the Temple at this location, but also one of our chapels! If you are Christian and looking for a great place to worship - there are two congregations that meet here each Sunday. One at 9 AM and one at 11 AM. I always can feel closer to God and my Savior Jesus Christ when I attend church. Also it is great to meet and be with other people who share the same faith in Christ. The church is for the whole family - and you don't have to be members to come (unlike the Temple). Don't use this temple for sealing sessions. They FORCE you to do Family Search names against your will even when you still have names left of your own to do. If you schedule an initiatory session you are lucky to get an hour of time. The baptistry hours are non existant. It's extremely difficult to get your own work done at this temple. I'm ready to turn it all over to family search and forget about doing it myself. I end up more frustrated than happy when I attend here. Most of the people are friendly...

I have never been able to attend the temple in Columbus, but have a dear high school friend who is there all the time. My experience with the "In the future temple" was to serve as a missionary in the Columbus east side in 1963/64. With three wonderful companions we had tremendous baptism success over a 9 month period with 30 converts, mostly families.
