I purchased a 2008 Honda Accord as-is the last week of August 2020. Quiet and drove smoothly. Within 9 hours of signing papers the transmission fluid started spraying. Rather than replacing the transmission, I had it towed and had the whole system flushed. I hoped that would suffice as it was $1400 rather than $3000 for a transmission. I obtained multiple quotes beforehand. It has worked thus far. All information was given to Uncle B's immediately along with invoice pictures. An attorney was contacted. It is still possible to file suit even though it was purchased as-is. When confronted with this information, Uncle B's negotiated $400 towards the repairs. That seemed fair as I just wanted accountability taken and some help towards the costs. I've gotten the run-around since September. Excuse after excuse to negate their negotiation. They don't have a mechanic on site at the car lot so it's fair to say they don't inspect the vehicles well, if at all, before throwing a price tag on it for profit.
