PAID OVER $1,600 TRUCK WAS IN THIS SHOP CLOSE TO ONE MONTH. STILL WITH ISSUES. READ.READ.READ........ Fist of all I want to start by saying that I do not know who runs or own this business. But I can say that who ever that is they should consider having some kind of respect for their clients time and $$ being spend contributing towards their business. LISTENING to your clients being upset should raise a red flag.

This is my HORRIBLE experience with this business.

I took my nephews 1979 Datsun truck on February 15 2016(I will post photos invoice with dated) when we dropped it off I asked a lot of questions because I was amazed that an engine rebuild would be done in 7-10 which was what George said ( Nice guy tried helping but that doesn't change my experience). So I like to be updated but since 2 weeks went by and I hadn't even received a called regarding when truck would be ready for pick up?? No courtesy call or anything, by this time the time given to me was up 10 days Max what I was told and he assure Max ten days. So by this day I started feeling a bit uncomfortable about this business. After several phone calls with NO HELP from the other two people that work here ( Luis, Jr) finally I get a call back from George saying that the truck was NOT going to be ready on time. This was my braking point I was so upset that he had assure that it would be ready Max in 10 days. At this point I had to make many changes to my schedule (Extremely Upseting & Inconvenience, unacceptable) During this conversation he asured me that once i picked up the truck would be running great with no issues so that i wouldn't have to go back ( NOT THE CASE) Their excuse was that they where moving. OK so whatever I talked to him and let him know my frustration and that this Wan NOT what he had told me. Let sum it up a bit by saying that he called on MARCH 11, 2016 a couple days away from A MONTH of the truck being droped off...NOT 10 DAYS. I was leaving town for family emergency and wouldn't be able to pick it up till I got back. On March 15, 2016 I go pick up the truck, when pulling in to their shop I notice Oil Spot Under truck and mentioned it George he had the "mechanic" take a look and said it was from another car ( NOT THE CASE) so if truck was ready on Friday and I went to pick it up on Tuesday how the hell doesn't any one in a Mecanic shop does NOT notice that is leaking oil. MY MAIN QUESTION IS WHAT KIND OF MECHANICS WORK HERE??. Took the truck home and hey I'm not a mechanic but that truck was most definitely Leaking oil. I called that same week thurs afternoon he said drop it off. Went and droped it of and asked him to please put his as a priority since I had mentioned it to him before taking it home and for all of the time I waited for it. I bought an engine from these guys in 2017. They used to sell on eBay. Paid extra for a bottom end balance and to have +1 mm oversized valves installed along with a head port. Had a special flywheel, clutch & balancer sent to them to be part of the balance.

Fast forward 7 years the Toyota 3rz has 40k miles in it. All top line synthetic oil except for break in. Oil leaks everywhere from so much blow by I cannot keep the bottom end from puking oil. 2 cylinders 90psi compression. Gave up and yanked the engine and took to a local machine shop ran by a guy I went to Auto & Diesel college with.

Valves were 14 of 16 bent. One 45 deg cut to get the locks in but not lapped in to seat the clearance or anything but a 45 deg hog out and threw it together. Bought all new + 1 mm valves to make it back to where I started. The port job had a bit of bowl blending but none of the casting removed in the flow area of the bigger valves. My God!!

It gets better. When I got the engine from them in 2017 there were zero match marks to install the flywheel in balance. When I called these clowns they said “it’s in balance and doesn’t matter how it’s bolted up”. My local machinist just told me “ that last machine shop didn’t even try to balance this bottom end the flywheel is out over 12 grams and the crank is out 6 grams by its self on top of the flywheel imbalance”. MY GOD!!!!!!!

Then when they shipped me the engine in 2017 they lost the special LC Engineering balancer and I had to beg them to find it. When it arrived in a package a few weeks later holding up the engine install, it had zero weight removed from it so it was a waste of time sending it to them in the first place. (Like sending the flywheel and clutch to them to have balanced).

Dealing with this shoddy craftsman ship has been a 7 year heartache and I have finally cut my losses and having a 40k engine...

The people who work at this shop are very unprofessional ,their words have no meaning since they constantly lie about when your car will be ready. The first time I took my car here they took about 6 months for me to have the car only work for 3 months Then I had to bring it back to them since they said I had a one year warranty. I brought it back before the warranty was due and now it’s been four months since I seen my car ! Every time I call it’s always excuses ! Last month they said it be ready, then they said we’d have it on a Saturday, Same thing for Monday. Nothing but a waste of time with these people ! They had the nerve to text me and ask if I could call them back later right before the shop closed . Till this day I haven’t received my car back and now I’m looking to take legal actions if I don’t receive my car by the end of...
