Today I decided to check out this beauty supply store. I read nothing but great reviews and was interested in supporting. To my surprise my experience did not end as delightful as I hoped it would. The attendant assisting with wigs was very helpful. I bought one wig and was preparing to buy another. The color for the 2nd wig I was preparing to purchase was not available. Only the wig on the mannequin was available. Its usually a practice for all beauty supply stores to take 10% off of the final price. Without hesitating I asked the attendant to bag up the 2nd wig because it was going home with me. I asked her how much would the final price be with the additional 10% off. She went to the front to confirm the price with Isabel the cashier in the front. Isabel did not want to add the 10% additional off to the wig. As the wig was already on sale. I asked her of this was just a store policy because in my experience shopping across the US whenever someone is buying a wig straight off the mannequin the wig gets 10%. She was adamant about not giving the additional percentage off. So I asked her for the final price of the wig. I had to wait 7 minutes for someone in the store to grab the wig. Another attendant for the store ended up grabbing the wig for me and said the wig would include the additional 10%. Isabel in a stern tone said I already told her she would not get the additional 10%. The attendant responded but it's on the mannequin and we don't have it available in the color she wants. Isabel was still adamant about not giving the additional percentage off. Mind you Isabel is not the manager and the manager was not available. I told her I will just purchase the remainder of my items. After my purchases while I was still at the counter I asked to add a mannequin head. She indicated they had 2 options. I asked to see both. She indicated she wanted to checkout the customer behind me. I stepped to the side. After ringing out the customer Isabel proceeded to have a conversation with a co worker. I asked to see the mannequin head again. She went to grab one and didn't bring both. I asked to see the mannequin head for a 3rd time. She then asked me to walk over to the mannequin heads in the store. She said which one would you like. I pointed to the one I wanted. She asked for me to just grab it and bring it to the register. One of the attendees asked me did I find everything ok. I told her I was very dissatisfied and will never support this business again. She apologized as Isabel rang up the mannequin head. This is truly sad, because I was shopping for a few photoshoots which could've brought numerous new customers (=more money) to this business and I will never endorse this business ever. Isabel's customer service was horrible! And I'm being generous with a 1 star simply based on her interaction. The other workers were absolutely amazing. It kills me that certain individuals love in a whole different county line but set up business in places where they know is more prominent locations for their business to thrive (urban areas) but treat us like criminals. So I visited Pinks beauty this past Saturday. I shop pretty often as I like to shop because they have a wide selection. I collected all my items and proceeded to checkout. The girl at the register made 3 attempts to charge my card. But the 2 time it said declined. I check my account online and it showed the charge. No receipt came out in their end. So the cashier stated that the transaction had not cleared. And then she took the bag with my items off the counter and place it behind the counter. I repeatedly showed and tried to explain that the transaction was completed. And that there was an error with their receipt machine or cash register. I left there and no merchandise and having paid them my money. I was so unsatisfied with the service I received. The owner was unreasonable. She was more concern with 28 bucks than maintaining a great relationship with a loyal customer. So now I will no longer be shopping anymore. I wish we all could boycott businesses like these. Read moreIt started off really well until the change of sales associates. The African American lady was very nice and helpful. She was very knowledgeable about wigs for sisters. She was very patient as this is my first Wig. She was called away and I was left by myself.
They have a policy that you can only try on 3 wigs per cap which you have to buy. I didn't have a problem with that. So I tried on about 7 wigs or so and then I got hassle. A man (Asian) comes up and says I can't try on any more.
Then a girl comes up and says I had tried on wigs without putting on new caps. This wasn't true I had 3 Caps in front of me. So now my demeanor changed to sadness. For I was treated with disdain. They didn't want my business. I might have purchased a human hair wig but I was disgusted, paid for the caps and left.
