BACKGROUND This was my fiancée and I's third time at this restaurant and the atmosphere, vibe, SUPREME customer service and variety of food options keep me coming back. This time around I decided to somewhat ball out! Wasnt being conservative today!
SUSHI We decided to get the Kumiko Boat (assorted sushi, nigiri and sashimi) but I was stunned by the pure massiveness of the boat! It literally took two tables and EVERYONE stopped and stared as the hostess brought it to our table. Talk about show stopping and beautiful. Granted I've had better sashimi, but those restaurant like Sugar Fish are MUCH more expensive. This is good quality fish at an affordable price.
TEA Green tea with roasted popped brown rice (something along those lines) Very good tea to start the meal plus free refills so I had 3 cups in total. Iced Thai tea, fiancée stated that it was good but wish it had less ice
DESSERT Was recommended by the chef, he stated that I would appreciate the cold, soft sweetness of the ice cream (wasn't expecting green tea ice cream to be so scrumptious) and the warm crunch of the fried banana but I have to say, the contract of salty, sweet, warm, cold, soft and crunchy was wonderful! Definitely the way to end a...
Read moreI am posting the review placed a While back from Malia Jay (Yelp) It bears repeating Too many choices and the quality is sub par and expensive . Staff is only nice when you order alot of menu items . For a short drive to Gardena there are many other restaurants that are affordable and better quality . Go there instead of this place
Update You've got the wrong customer in mind. Don't try to lessen my criticism by suggesting I am not familiar with your offerings. One order was a 2 Tempura Dinners to go. Second was dine in Korean BBQ Ribs and katsu don. Trying to obscure the issue by pretending to know me and my orders will only show you up to potential customers. Too bad.
2nd Update Oh, you've discontinued those items? I suppose I'm not alone in complaining, then? It's patently obvious you don't remember me and are trying to throw shade on my opinion. Just one more reason not to patronize...
Read moreBest sushi in town. Food is fresh, delicious and always on point. A nice arrange of Japanese food. In my opinion the cherry blossom roll is the best. Perfectly balanced, slightly spicy and fresh. Udon soups are delicious and perfect for rainy days. So far all appetizers are a hit but the dumplings are great! The miso soup is a nice start and the Thai tea is perfect with any meal. Bruce along with all the other employees provide amazing service everytime we stop by. And to finish the meal... you should get the banana tempura, it is spectacular! Definitely a must for us in Compton. Tip: if you have a large to go order of sushi ask for a large tray. You dont have to use so much styrofoam and...
