Time Warp Toys and More — Local services in Concord

Time Warp Toys was essentially my introduction to toy stores, giving that I lived in St Louis which doesn’t have that many to offer to begin with and when I first started visiting in 2020 it was amazing to me. However over the past couple of years since I’ve seen the same things there, at the same price marks, it’s become stale. I’ve moved to Kentucky now and the toy stores here have definitely opened my eyes to what a toy store should have to offer. I’ve gotten holy grails for eBay prices without the wait or shipping, I’ve gotten to snatch up pieces for parts for a good deal, plenty of loose figures to chose from, etc. I recently visited family in STL this summer and stopped by time warp toys, however to the same disappointment as it was when I left a year prior. I don’t write this review to be ignorant but instead as a constructive criticism I feel you guys need to hear from a long time customer. Having retail priced stuff that discount overstock stores are carrying for half price isn’t attractive to the eye. As a customer who was once excited to get build a figures and rare finds from you guys, I say it’s time to start looking into buying more 2nd hand collections to flip rather than only focus on new releases. It was disappointing how long it took for you guys to get a WWE section and when you did the prices were still very disappointing for what’s still in stores / on clearance. Please mark down the things that haven’t moved in years, and organize your loose figures off the floor so that when I come in I feel like a valued customer and not a passerby at a garage sale. Great shop but only thing I’d change is having the employees be more caring of their jobs the only one who feels like they like working there is the guy with the pony tail and glasses I can talk with him all day long the dude with the long blond hair won’t even say hi or bye even when I was just in there the last 4 times I’ve been in and acts inconvenience the last two times I’ve grabbed 200+ dollar figures from glass cases when I’ve asked them for help. As far as the other guy with the short hair, I’ve asked him for prices on newer items and he’s gave me wrong prices just for me to tell him I’ll take it and then him ring me up and give me a price that’s $150 more than what he told me.not to mention getting home and opening hot toys and them being marked opened but having cradles that comes from diffrent figures that don’t plug into the base because they don’t match or missing pieces ect Again I love the shop and I will continue to support it, but I’ve gotten 30+ hot toys from here over a dozen SH figure etc. and I feel like I’m a bother to anybody. I Went to time warp with a buddy and we had a great time . I want to thank the owners and the sales associate for helping me find a certain toy. I have been trying to find a super Mario brothers action figures for a long time and the sales associate went the extra mile and hunted threw a bin in the back of the store for a good while found the figures I wanted . They had them all except for King Koopa. That one I am still looking for . That too me is amazing customer service . The store looked nice, clean, organized and the customer was beyond amazing , they all seemed very nice who was working there. You will have plenty of space to park because the parking lot is huge. There is a lot of places to eat in the area if you get hungry . The only why I did not give this place a 5/5 is because there is no restroom available for the customers.
