LIU SHUN — Restaurant in Concord

I've lived near here for over a year, and like some of the other reviewers, I steered away until now due to the bad reviews.

Unfortunately, my experience has been terrible... and it pains me to leave this review because the older gentleman was pleasant to speak with and call on the phone to order.

The food itself wasn't terrible, really, the General Tso's Chicken was tasty, and the rice portion was generous. The egg roll was subpar but not terrible. The rice itself was pretty standard, a TAD overcooked but not too much so. It's what happened from eating it that threw my experience.... and sadly, the food, in the toilet.

I spent the next 15 hours after eating here with stomach pain and feeling bloated, which really was just bizarre to me. Afterward, I ended up still having bad stomach pain and found myself puking it all up...

The biggest shame is the combo was like... SEVENTEEN bucks! Which was kinda upsetting since I had no way of knowing that before getting to the register. All of the prices I could see online were outdated and very inaccurate. I also left a tip, which I regret doing now...

I wish I had taken a fraction of that money down the street to a competitor of theirs I frequent as to avoid this place (which I now will be doing permanently). I would've had more food, and I know I wouldn't have struggled keeping it...

Nothing about the experience was pleasant. They don't speak enough English to communicate effectively and the man who does speak English, wont stop didnt stop long enough to explain to either party involved in the ordering. Everything felt rushed, but the food took almost 50 minutes to come out for carry out. We made it out the door, and almost to our car agreeing being served the wrong order, and being called back to give it to the correct party. The phone rang, loudly and constantly in the dining room which made the wait uncomfortable. The couple eating dine in, waited almost 30 minutes for their food. They had to get up repeatedly to get napkins, refills, and ect. The stir fry style chicken costs 3 more dollars and was apparently very inconvenient for them to make. Our crab ragoon were obviously a rush job, and had very little filling. I asked for a side of egg foo gravy and was told that despite having egg foo young on the menu, they only have brown sauce. The egg drop soup tasted very fishy, and I was honestly disappointed by the food in general. I...

I love the hot braised chicken and hot and sour soup! The chicken is all white meat and you don't have to worry about getting a funky piece that you cannot chew. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they don't deliver.

UPDATE: Although the food is still my favorite, the customer service is so bad I refuse to go. One time he gave me the wrong order. I got home to call him and let him know and he yelled at me , stating I should not take other peoples orders. Really? Don't hand me someone else order and verify. BUT since I enjoy the food I gave it another chance. I come to pick up my order after about 20 minutes and they then tell me they are out of hot braised and I should get orange. Ok, I'll try something new. Took 45 minutes and they have not started it. I walked out and haven't...
