Review is targeted to Kohl's national Customer Service department and their billing department. We did not have any issues with this location itself, but unfortunately our end-experience justifies the poor review of a Kohl's location.
My wife signed up for a Kohl's card to receive a discount on a purchase. The charge went to the Kohl's card even though she paid with debit at the store. We never received the card, nor any kind of informative letter containing account information.
3 months after signing up for the card we received a call informing us of missed payments on a balance. The customer service rep who called was very short and rude with my wife, and after getting contact information she ended the call without giving us any assistance or explanation as to why we were being billed to the credit account and had not received a card or any notice of any kind.
We promptly called back and explained the situation. The next rep debated with us on whether or not the information on the account had just been received by the previous rep or if that's what they had in December meaning we agreed to charge credit.
Frustrated with the situation we bit bullet and payed the balance and closed the account, and will be moving forward with getting the money reimbursed after providing debit statements from the bank...
Read moreMy aunt passed away and she was a loyal customer of theirs and had a charge card. I was in charge of her estate and called them to settle on the bill and they said I needed to prove that I was able to do that and I said how do I go about that and they said take your information into one of the stores and they'll fax it to us. I said well it's going to be a minute before it's settled is there any way that we can stop the interest and I said oh yes it's already stopped when you told us she passed. By the time I got in there $150 at least had been added on to the bill. The very very helpful nice people working in the store on the West Side of Evansville that day called the number for me and tried to settle it for me and the guy on the other end was not helpful at all and no idea what he was doing talk to me like I was a dog and at the end of it I ended up hanging up on him. I just told those Associates that I would just pay the whole thing and wash my hands of him. They felt so bad and it had nothing to do with them. It was very much the company the guy they called was high up. Apparently a little too high up forgot how he got there. An experience that will cause me to never shop...
Read moreMy worst retail experience in my life. Bought a samsonite luggage from Kohl’s on 7 Nov 2022; about 4+pm. Based on my previous experience with samsonite, they always provide a warranty card. So i seek assistance and manager Deb (if im not wrong), she told me straight up that they are not samsonite. “Take it up with samsonite” she said and register it yourself online. Im jus shocked that it now becomes my fault. So i walked off and realise my receipt is misaligned and i cant make out the number to register my warranty. So i ask for a reprint for the receipt so the cashier seek help from Manager Deb to help me to reprint. To my horror, in order for her to reprint i have to reprint it directly on the spot once i received my receipt. This was what she said. I went back after 10mins to have it reprinted but she cant reprint it. This is ridiculous. So now i might not be able to get my samsonite warranty and its my fault for not being able to spot the misalignment of the receipt on the spot.
