Updated 10/3/2024: I visited this location again to try the new Pecan Oatmilk Latte. The drive thru barista was very helpful and kind to check the oatmilk brand for a specific allergen. When I pulled up to the window I thanked the barista for taking extra time to ensure that my experience was good. They said, "When it comes to your health, never apologize. I'm happy to help!" It made my day and made me up my review to three stars!
Original Review: A former Starbucks Partner of 6 years, loyal Starbucks customer, and lover of coffee, I was sorely disappointed in the service at this location. I ordered a grande iced coffee with half and half and two pumps of caramel. When I got the the window the drink was all milk and a light beige color. I politely asked if they could pour the drink into a venti cup and add some more cold brew. I explained that I order the drink all of the time and it is never that light. They snarkilytook the cup back and a barista said, “She just wants a Venti.” I called through and said, “I would be happy if you would just put more coffee and less cream.” I was told that they measure their cream and that next time I should order it with light cream. Read moreI am a frequent customer at the First Ave Starbucks, as it is closes to where I live. Sometimes, however, I come to the west side location on my way to or from work. I haven't had a bad experience there before. The employees are always friendly and my order has always been accurate. Today, I went to get an iced coffee, no ice, like I always get when I get an iced coffee. I do not like it getting watered down, nor do I like ice in any of my drinks. I got my order, it had literally half of a grande cup full. I've always gotten it full at every other location. Why only half? If I get a grande hot coffee, I expect it full to the top. I understand there are some possible added expense with keeping iced coffee, but that is also why I pay more for it. Read moreI made an online pick up order and had no idea the chaos that was happening at the West Side Starbucks. When we got to the Starbucks is was crazy outside. Drive thru was wrapped around the building and spilling out into the side street. The parking lot was packed with cars. I went inside at the time the app said my order would be ready and even though there was about 30 drinks sitting on the counter none of them was mine. There was at least 15 people waiting for their orders. The workers didn't miss a beat the entire hour I waited for my order. They informed us multiple times that it was an abnormally busy day and they were behind at least 45 minutes. I watched the workers work together and not once get short with each other or with customers. At one point an employee passed out discount cards because of the wait.
