My family and I are regular customers…or at least were. There was a time when I enjoyed shopping there so much I even took my brother, who was visiting from out of town, a few months ago. We had a nice chat with the owner’s daughter and left a five star Google review…which I just deleted. I decided to take my mom today. As soon as we walked in, the owner glanced at us and didn’t even acknowledge us. I mention this only because when a young family with two kids walked in a few minutes later, she greeted them nicely. My mother and I had questions about some items that did not have prices, so we took them to the counter to ask for the prices. My mom asked her first about some fabrics pieces…and the owner completely ignored her…not once, but twice. When she finally responded, she wouldn’t give my mother eye contact and seemed bothered that we were talking to her. My mom left the items she was planning on purchasing on the counter and went back to looking for more fabrics. When I attempted to ask her about the price of some stickers, she ignored me and pretended to move some items around that were behind the counter. I asked her again. She sighed loudly and told me to move to another part of the counter where she stood impatiently for me to bring her the stickers. Again, no eye contact and seemed perturbed…bothered…annoyed that she was having to answer my question. I finally asked her what her problem was with me and my mom. I told her I didn’t appreciate her rude and mean behavior, knowing that my family and I have been loyal customers. I explained to her that the last time I was there with my brother, we spoke to her daughter, who told us about a rude encounter with a customer who left a bad Google review. My brother and I reassured her that we would leave a five star review because I absolutely loved the store. The gall of this owner…first she claimed she didn’t know what Google review was, then she said rather aggressively, that her daughter knows to call the police when there are problems with customers. She also said she knew nothing about what I was talking about…implying I was lying. I told her to keep the items and that we would never step foot in her store again. Her response? I don’t care. I called out to my mom that we were leaving. After exchanging words with my mom, who defended me when the owner tried blaming me for the situation, she told us to get out and condescendingly said “bye bye”. Be aware that this owner is a mean, unkind woman who cares nothing about her customers…even those that...
Read moreSCAMMERS! Save yourself the time and shop online or at least somewhere where the owner has some common sense. I bought a watch Saturday and was interested in a couple more. Specifically an old fossil listed for $50, a gold plated Nixon priced at $150 and a momentum m1 diver the st moritz edition priced all the way at $250! On Saturday when I was buying the watch I noticed the stop watch seconds dial wasn't working properly. Instead of resetting to 60 (0) the hand wouldn't go past 9 seconds. It wasn't too bid of a deal to me as I won't be doing much timing with the watch it was more for aesthetic purposes, so I told the employee I'd take it for 25. The strap needed to be replaced on it and obviously some gears weren't working in it. She called the owner and the owner told me to come back Monday that they would have it fixed and she wasn't going to go below 40. I show up Monday in between appointments and meet the owner. She's extremely rude to me off the back and acts like it's my fault that I don't speak Spanish (she doesn't speak English). She showed me the fossil and the stop watch dial wasn't still broken. In fact it was a little worse. She called her husband who I guess worked on it and he basically insinuated that I was lying and to give the phone to his wife to verify it wasn't working. She told him exactly what I did and they told me to come back tomorrow. No apology for wasting my time or anything. I tell her I want to talk about the m1 diver that I'm interested in it, that it was just over priced. I asked how she got her pricing and she said she did her own research. I also asked how long the watch had been in the case and she said it wasn't important. I thought this was a pawn shop where haggling is acceptable. A quick photo search of that watch told me 150 on eBay. The gold Nixon was only 112.50 brand new online! I tried to show her this but she just rudely brushed me off and told me 200 was the lowest she'll go. I told her I'm a repeat customer who's looking to buy a couple of things if she would just work with me. I guess she didn't...
Read more*Spoiler Alert for anyone that writes a review- you will get a reply with a response defending their bad behavior or lack of service. BWTH I'm sharing my experience anyway. Trying to help others from wasting their time! I totally agree with other reviews. Sales lady did not honor sale price. Item didn't even have a price and game me one and said it was a good deal. I will never give them my business. And that's very unfortunate because they do have lots of stuff. Some stuff is over priced and some is average. Maybe they should consider finding friendly staff to keep this place in business.
In response to your reply..... To be clear- Yes you offer 1 free religious item per customer. She didn't do me a favor. And the BTZ hair item bottle was broken on top so of course it wouldn't be retail price. Again it's not the customers fault item was not priced and it was in sale bin. Also I had plenty of patients as I asked prices on several different items. No worries I will...
