I tried this place today looking for an affordable book store. Overall, the experience was okay. However, I think that the prices were not as affordable as the comments were saying my friend got 4 books and paid $35, and i got two and paid $10. I think that the prices for the bundle of books could've been cheaper or they should be priced by the pound. The prices were vague and didn't tell how much the prices would be when entering the store.I also didn't like that when we went to checkout, she looked at the previous sale price as if these were new books. These books are second hand and a lot of them show wear and tare on them. I called ahead to see if they buy books for cash. The woman said they only trade. They give a store credit of 50% of what they will charge.
I figured I would trade my fiction for a bundle of glossy art books.
After driving 20 minutes one way, the woman tells me she gives 50% and then I would need to pay 50% of my purchase price with cash.
Basically she gives 25% off your purchase if you bring in a trade.
If that is what she needs to do to make money, fine. But tell people who call the truth so they don't load up their car and drive in the heat...
