Watch your receipts. While the food may be good (haven’t tried it yet), the prices marked are NOT what you pay. (I don’t remember seeing a sign in the store advising this, but could have missed it). When they rang up differently and higher, BEFORE I even chose payment method, It was explained to me that they ‘auto’ add a fee for credit card purchases, BUT it would not appear on receipt with a debit purchase… I did, in fact use debit, but the fee remained. Unfortunately by then the transaction wax done and They ‘couldn’t’ it at that point. I was told a manager would call; nothing yet. Don’t misunderstand me… this is NOT about the small amount of money (which I still think they should refund somehow; I’m 25 miles south of them so not worth the drive)…it’s about...

I stopped in to Veno's Specialty Foods and Meats the other day. What a treasure! The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The store is well stocked without being cluttered. There is a wide selection of meats as well as some vegetables, vegan and gluten free options in the Gourmet to Go case. If you have any questions about how to prepare your food, the staff, led by their chef owner operator, Kendra Veno, is quick to offer advice or recipes. There are even desserts available. Over the last several days, we have enjoyed home made Maple sausage and Chipotle sausage, bacon ground hamburger, and a boneless leg of lamb. Everything has been delicious.

This is one of the greatest additions to the valley. So happy that we went in. We bought their lovely homemade chicken curry with rice dish. It saved our night, we just popped it in the oven and dinner was ready. It tasted sensational, you can tell high quality healthy ingredients were used and the sauce was perfect, not overly salted. We noticed that a lot of other product, meats and cheeses were local too, and of a higher quality, which I love. Wish the area had more places like this! Looking forward...
