I went to Kay’s Salon back when they were located in Brooklyn Park to get a bangs haircut. They did not do a good job. It was rushed. Years later 2021, I decided to get my hair professionally colored for the first time. Of course, I knew I should of listened to my own guts. I saw them on FB, thinking they sound so familiar but this time in a different location. Possibly could of been a different owner but similar name or at least I thought it was a place I never went to. Decided to book my first time hair coloring with them. I showed them photos of how I wanted my color to be. It was BROWN! So I asked her beforehand if my hair will turn brown, she said “it will be blonde first” so I was like… ok, I get it. It needs to be bleached first. But of course in the end, it was blonde. Totally different from the photos I showed her. I just left it though. I’m not the type of customer to complain. (But next time I am, I learned my lesson) On top of that, I swear they didn’t take out the $50 deposit I made into the total so my total was close to $600 for 5 hours. No way! Right then I knew they were the salon I came to years ago. Instinct regret. I wish they will go over my bill as to why the total is what it is. Anywhere else, I’m gonna ask for now on. NEVER GOING BACK TO KAY’S SALON EVER AGAIN! Worst first experience ever for my first time getting my hair professionally...
Read moreBAD...BAD...BAD. This place should be called Poor and Ugly Saloon. My takes is this: 1) The electric trimmer is old or cheap because it's making loud noises like it's about to blow-up next to my head. I only heard this kind of noise in cheap Chinese trimmer in 3rd world country. Poor...poor...poor. 2) The trimmer is dull. It's pulling on my hair as it cuts. Hair not even after the cut. Ugly...ugly...ugly. 3) This is lady (more like a little girl)...this is whete I don't understand... she turns me sideway so I can't see myself while she cuts. She cuts like 10 times in the same spot, over and over and over. When she's all done, she turn me toward the mirror and said how about this. I said "looks like I am wearing a wag! You need to trim this to match that (pointing to both sides of my head). Don't com my hair to the side...just make sure you cut them evenly in all spots so it doesn't hang out looking like a wag." Through out my explanation, she said "ahhuhh ahhuhh ahhuhh". But when she starts again..it's the same crap! After couple rounds of explaining, I GAVE UP. I say to myself..I asked for a simple man haircut...and I get this? Why would anyone trust them with more sophisticated cut, style, perm, coloring,...
Read moreI've booked with Kang for 2 big sessions and 1 retouch/toning. She is always professional but knows how to connect with you and knows what she's doing. I had vigin hair for the longest time and wanted something new and found her via fb and thought I gave it a try. Best decision ever! My first session was an ombre bayalage, then my second session that I just had today was adding baby lights and touch up on my roots that's outgrown the ombre. Its beautiful and exactly what I asked for. I will be a returning customer because she knows my hair and she does a great job. Also, she's always so attentive when lightening my hair, making sure she checks on it periodically to ensure there's no breakage. Please do yourself a favor and book with her and her sister! (Also, during the time of covid, her salon is never overbooked so you can be at ease and feel safe and...
