I don't recommend hiking this in the winter. We wore spikes, thankfully, because the path was snowy and slippery. The path also got really confusing about a mile in: there was debris from fallen trees everywhere, along with canyon walls that seemed to cut off further paths. The snow also made it difficult to find the path again. I'll definitely try this path again in the summer time, because the views were beautiful.

Great area for hiking and mountain climbing. Dog friendly.

Been here like 20 times and got the first time I saw snakes on 5/24/18. That day, snakes were super active. Encountered 3 rattle snakes that day. 2 past the lookout and one past the second river crossing before the lookout.
