really disappointed to have spent money and time on this escape room. I have done over a dozen and I was shocked at how bad this was. Half of the clues/ props were broken and the host had to come in and fix things multiple times. When we asked for hints, they just told us what to do and kind of took the fun out of figuring out the solution. Once we “won”, we had no idea we finished the room because nothing happened besides the radio lighting up. The host came in and just said “you won”. Super underwhelming.
On top of all of that, my boyfriend stabbed his hand opening one of the prop doors because it had a bunch of screws sticking out of it.
The walls don’t go all the way to the ceiling, so if you’re there with another group, you’ll hear them and their host giving them clues. The lighting is also absolutely awful and it was so frustrating trying to read anything. I’m never one for bad reviews, but as a college student, 50$ is a lot for a really poor experience.
edit never got an email from the marketing director. I emailed them twice and never...
Read moreMy friends and I have been here twice now and did both of the rooms that they have currently (Ship Happens and 8ighth House). As a group of 6, we were able to finish both of these in time - BUT was it a challenge! Ship Happens was definitely more difficult than 8ighth House. We ended up asking for clues in Ship Happens even though we did this room second.
We did 8ighth House on Dec 27, 2019, and Ship Happens on Jan 24, 2020. Both times, the staff was incredibly nice! I can't remember if it was the owner that was there the first time, but he was super nice! The girls that we met were super friendly as well.
Pricing is very reasonable. Before we booked, we expected to pay 30+ a person for each room. The rooms are $22 a person before taxes! We were so surprised! And for the difficulty and quality of the rooms, the price was perfect!
Love Locked in at the Lakes! We all can't wait until they get a new room to try! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great time...
Read moreI just turned 14, and we went here for my birthday. It was very fun and exciting! I had a group of 7 (my parents and friends). We escaped..... but barely! Our time was 59 minutes and 36 seconds! It was just the perfect blend of difficulty! We did the 8ighth house, and it was themed very well! The room is well decorated, and has a good atmosphere. It wasn’t super scary, but it definitely can give you chills. All in all, it was very fun, and I’d recommend this experience to anyone! For our group, everyone played their own role, and everyone helped do something, so it’s important to be good friends with your group. It felt very intense, especially at the end, but we all loved it. I’d...
