Core Feed — Local services in Covington

We drive from New Orleans to come here and load up on food for the animals, hay and most everything else we need because the prices are worth the drive! The pet shops and feed stores by us are outrageously priced compared to core feed. They also have great pickled veggies, honey and plant stuff too.

The employees are always super nice and helpful and they get you in and out.

Just the whole experience makes it worth it along with this awesome little snowball stand and a cool discount grocery and liquor store a couple blocks away!

The snowball stand has real honeycombs and honey mixed in their ice cream and you can get that in a stuffed snowball too!

The discount store has lots of good super cheap treats for the animals and fish like bread and crackers and cereal. They also had this jalapeño bacon and crescent roll crust pizza that were both amazing!

This place is amazing! The staff makes you feel like you should be sitting at their kitchen table eating cornbread and sweet tea! You can find anything here and if you can’t find it, they’ll order it for you. The store is clean and orderly, and set easy for customers to find what they need. This is an excellent place to shop. They have all farm and livestock supplies. Everything from potting soil to rubber work boots. They have great prices and everything you need for your country property. The staff over there are very polite and knowledgeable on anything you may need for farming or planting.
