Dollar General — Local services in Covington

Store is horrible. Employees and management is rude. Takes me 5 minutes to get to this store since I live in same town but I drive to Attica. Management and Staff is helpful and kind. Store is a lot more refreshing to shop at even though all the stores are to small to hold all the merchandise that the company offers to their customers. This store does great with being clean and organized for what they have to deal with. Covington Dollar Store employees especially the management team needs to keep their mouth shut on the floor. It's sad when they are bad mouthing their Co workers and customers on the floor, when Covington is a small town everyone knows everyone. I could not believe when the Manger they have now had the nerve to HAND right a note to all customers, posting all over store which went something like this: If you pick it up put it back where you got it, we don't have time to babysit and pickup after you. Now really how Professional is that? I'm just saying this is my experience and I will travel or pay triple for any merchandise before I will support and be part of the reason they have a job in Covington. Working in Retail Management all my life you have to put up with and deal with a lot when it comes to working with the public but without the public doing business with the Retail Store I've worked for I would not of had a job. When I walk in there are boxes every where, when you are looking for something and you ask for help they eaither dont know or walk away and dont talk to you. The new manager that took over need to be nice and helpful to people even if she dont like the person. And I dont agree with employees smoking out front of the building. People that dont smoke or cant be around it smell it and is going to have issues with breathing. At family dollar in Attica they say hello as soon as you walk in the door, DG needs to do the same. The place smells like body order when I walk in there. You would think the people that complain about the people in there something gets...

Nothing stocked and dirty store. The cashier rolled her eyes when the lady asked her to clock in and help me, she looked like she just got put of bed.. no uniform This store was actually doing great and the shelves where stocked. The store was clean. Great friendly workers. It's been a month since I have shopped here. Now it's messy nothing stocked can't hardly get down the aisle. I live in between Attica and Covington. Started going to the Covington store weekly 6 to 8 months ago bc it was clean and the shelves were stocked....
