I gave my first review 1 star 7mos ago because my first experience wasn't necessarily the best. A few weeks later, I decided to give it another chance because a friend of mine mentioned it again. When we went back, I met the owner who was warm and friendly, and made us laugh-- it overshadowed my first experience, so I have been a loyal customer since, sometimes driving out of my way to ensure my money was going to a small black business, at least once every 1-2 weeks. There are a few employees that desperately need customer service training, respect, and professional etiquette. “Jokingly” asking for a tip when handing a customer their change is distasteful. Regardless, I always came in with a wave and smile because I'm about to smoke. What is there for me to be pressed about? When I came in today, there was a misunderstanding with my transaction with this same female. There was a change in policy that I was not made aware of, but it was not so much the present inconvenience that bothered me, but the amount of attitude and disrespect being shown to me while communicating this information in front of the owner, who said nothing of how she was behaving. I have never received the amount of disrespect I experienced today from any place of business, especially when the owner I grew so fond of stood idle and allowed these teenage girls to escalate a situation and treat me in the manner that I was, in front of his other customers. At one point, this ill-mannered child threatened me by telling me she "gets off in 15min, so what?" I am extremely disappointed. My little dollars and this little review might not make a difference, but there are plenty of other small black businesses that take pride in the customer experience who will happily receive my little change. I wholeheartedly stand by my first...
