Howard County Fairgrounds — Local services in Cresco

Fun for a few years but expensive. Use to take the kids wen they were younger but now we jus grab food and go home. Grandstands have good entertainment, but I'm not a big country fan or race fan so I don't ever go. I personally don't think it's worth the money but it is better than most surrounding fairs so worth it for little ones. Don't play the games... U can literally buy a better toy/prize at Walmart for $10. The food is pretty good. My favorite is smoke and chrome... They have amazing brisket sandwiches and southern style nachos. I ALWAYS go up just for tht. The sandwiches are $11, but are way worth it. They are huge and sooo good. The fair vendors at the retzel and cotton candy stations are pretty shady... Watch what bills you use... I've been shorted many times by them. As always... Keep an eye on little ones. Good place to look at stuff and waste time. I like walking through the buildings and seeing everyone's crafts... My kids always like seeing what Lego creations were made. Good family place, but to me it's overrated. I'd rather spend the same amount of money at a Waterpark or mini...

This was the first time I've seen a race at this Track in over 40+ years.was pleasantly surprised to see the big crowd. Not a lot of cars but racing was very good definitely going back. Would highly recommend it. Good entertainment for...
