Grand Champion Meats — Local services in Crosslake

We were looking for a brisket in the Crow Wing county area and everyone was out or didn't stock brisket. I got on Google and found Grand Champion Meats in Cross Lake. A short drive from camp. The butcher was a super nice guy and helped us out. We were looking for a large brisket in the 13 - 16 pound range. Told him I wanted a super limber brisket, he brought out two super limber brisket, one 13.5 pounds, and the other 16 pounds. We are smoking for 14 adults and four kids, so we took the 16 pounder. The price was a lot higher than want we pay back in Iowa, but hey you are in a resort area and these fine folks make their living in roughly five months of the year up here in the north country (133 miles straight north to Canada. We paid $8.99 per pound for a good looking brisket. This store has a lot to offer from sticks, to jerky, to summer sausages, to rubs and seasoning, breakfast items like pancake mixes and all kinds of syrups to put on them. The store is very neat, clean and organized. I would rate them a 10+ on their cleanliness, organization and neatness. This store presents best in class from my experiences over the years in meat markets. Also they had some dry aged meats in a separate cooler if you are in to that. Their sticks and jerky were not over priced in my opinion. They are what I would expect to pay for quality sticks and Jerry that is vacuum packed. If you want cheap, shop a discount store. They also had a sign up for shrimp. We will have to check those out on our next visit!!! If you are looking for high quality meats in the Cross Lake area I would highly recommend this...

Been going to the Cross Lake shop for quite a few years my mom and my grandfather were both butchers in Germany they come the closest to any Polish. That’s our favorite🌭we have had bologna-liver sausage And have had their Blood Sausage 👍. dealt with Tony the most and he goes above and beyond what you see in most places and also down in Foley, we’ve only experienced great employees. Insanely overpriced. I’m a frequent shopper for jerky and sticks at meat markets and I’ve never seen such terrible prices as this place. Sticks and summer sausage are below average. Jerky was pretty good. But will never shop here again based on the insulting prices. There’s a place I love in Clear lake I will go out of my way to go to before going back here.
