Gotta say, my friend who took me here raved about the ice cream. She had cotton candy, which is the flavor she's gotten every time for probably 15-20 years (she finished hers in record time). I tried a cake flavor and a turtle cheesecake flavor. LOVED the cheesecake, but wasn't a fan of the cake (try it yourself, you may love it). But the staff were incredibly friendly and looked to be enjoying each other's company, and these are SINGLE SCOOP CONES! I LOVE how big the scoops are. Would definitely recommend this place and would certainly visit again to try some different flavors! Been going here for almost 40 years. Walked in today and was in complete shock. Didn’t realize new owners were going to change so much. Gift section cut in half maybe? Missing its unique up north charm and nostalgia that the previous owner so thoughtfully created. I’m not sure how often I’ll be back now. Ice cream selection still great, looked like large servings, happy to see the flowers are already growing. Hope it works out for the new owners but the nostalgia is huge for a very large group of vacationers, there’s tons of gift shops, they used to have very unique prices by local artist, looks like that’s either going away or down sizing...

The ice cream is excellent here. There is a wide variety of options to choose from, and you're free to taste as much as you want. There is a lot of outdoor seating, which is a plus. Additionally, you get a HUGE scoop of ice cream for one scoop. One critique I have is that it was very chaotic when I went there. While cashiers have no control over how many people come, it would be nice if people were made to form a line. There were a lot of people, and it was super disorganized and crowded.
