July 30, 2024 1:20 feature of Twisters This day was my sister's 60th birthday. She is obsessed with the movie Twister, so as a treat, I brought her to watch the new release. When we walked in, we were greeted by three young men. I told them it was her special day and that I was treating her. Gavin then said that for her birthday, her ticket would be free. I was so humbled. Then he stated mine would also be free for treating her. I almost cried. We order our concessions and I show my sister the drink options stating that she is deaf but can read lips. Gavin then asks if she would like the close captioning option. I didn't even know that was an option. Gavin followed us to our seats where he quickly set up the device. Me & my date had just watched a movie. After the movie we played games & exited the theatre. We sat in our vehicle for a few to try & decide where we wanted to go for dinner. A cop pulled up in front of us like the flash (no pun intended) & immediately exited the vehicle & came up to us as if something was wrong. He asked if we were about to go in & I said no. I advised him that we just left the theatre & were deciding on where to go next. Thing is, I don't blame the cop. He was doing his job, but he showed up because he was called obviously by someone at the movie theatre. Needless to say, this was extremely upsetting. I am 39 years old. While in town for a visit, we decided to see John Wick at the Crowley Cinema IV were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the theater was relatively clean. The seating was also comfortable, which made for a more enjoyable movie-watching experience. Overall, the cinema is pretty average, but it gets the job done of providing a good experience for a lower price.
