Extremely Frustrating Experience with Curbside Pickup
I placed a curbside order with Super 1 Foods and received the usual confirmation email with detailed instructions—so far, so good. I followed everything to the letter: arrived at the store, parked in the designated spot, texted the number provided… and then I waited. And waited. And waited some more.
Tried calling the store? Rings twice, then hangs up. Called the curbside number? Straight to voicemail. Left a message—no call back. It felt like I was trying to contact a ghost town.
Eventually, after wasting a big chunk of my day, I finally got through to someone at the store who casually informed me their system was down and they would not be fulfilling my order. No apology. No notification ahead of time. Just a shoulder shrug and "too bad."
Look, I get that systems crash—but not notifying customers and then going radio silent? That’s just poor customer service. If your curbside system is down, say something. Don't leave people hanging in the parking lot like they're in a bad breakup.

Many isles blocked with merchandise to be stocked on shelves. I cant buy something if I cant get to it on the shelf. Store is being renovated. many self serve checkout isles being added. We older folks don't like self serve checkouts and will not use them. We need live people to answer questions we have. I have trouble getting the self serve machine to work right. I cant find on the pictures what I am paying for. I will probably just switch to Super 1 Foods in Crowley. They don't have the self serve machine check out. They always have enough check out girls. And they are always nice and courteous. Their store is always nice and clean and always enough people in every department to answer questions. Read moreMy last trip to this store was last week. Blame this one on the "security guard" or who ever he was. He told me he did not want me in the store with my scooter. I use a scooter because it's more efficient than a car, it's better for the environment, and I'm 63 and couldn't walk the distance to the store. Not wanting to leave it outside, I brought it in and just walked it around with me. I never once got on it or rode. Yet this guy couldn't stand for that. I felt like Jesse James when I was accosted on the cereal isle. I didn't ask him what he had against me walking around with my scooter, but if he had a problem with me rolling it around, it is foldable and portable. I could have easily just carried it around. This, all grown up hall monitor, didn't explain exactly what the problem was.
