Update: After my review, the owners asked that I messaged them on Facebook so they could make right our last experience. I did not message them. The reason being is I do not want free food, I would prefer a restaurant to thrive so that I can continue going. That being said, we decided to go today and give it another try. It was delicious! We had the boudin sushi roll to start. My husband ended up getting the same thing as last time, the filet mignon. I ordered the American Wagyu burger. It was so delicious. The meat was soft and buttery and melted in your mouth. The fries had a hint of cinnamon to them which was a nice surprise. Our waitress was also fantastic. As a bonus, one of the owners came by the table for a chat. Sir, if you read this, we enjoyed the visit and your stories about LSU! Geaux Tigers!! I have updated everything to 5 stars bc that was our experience today. We need more good local restaurants and I hope this place thrives. We look forward to going again! I would definitely recommend and I chalk my last review up to them just trying to get the hang of things being a new restaurant. We all deserve a little grace. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and finally went last night. We ordered a gin martini and a vodka with cranberry. What was served to us was a vodka martini and a straight vodka. We had to wait a while for the drinks to be corrected, so when our correct drinks were brought, we ordered the boudin queso appetizer. After an hour passed waiting on the appetizer, we decided to order our main course when our drinks were being refreshed. My husband ordered the filet, and I ordered the ribeye tacos. The appetizer finally came out, and it was delicious. As we were approaching another hour of waiting ,our food arrived. I ordered tacos but was served what looked like a ribeye poboy. It was sent back, and I was served my tacos within a few minutes. The filet with baked potato was delicious, but the tacos weren’t that good. I was overall disappointed with our experience there. The restaurant was only about half full, so maybe the kitchen was short-staffed. I can’t see any other reason we had to wait so long for everything. Lastly, I’d like to add that they have chicken and Cajun fettuccine on the menu, but the description states it’s served over penne. Fettuccine is a pasta, not a sauce.

What an incredible restaurant! We went here after I saw a TikTok post, and I immediately wanted to check it out. No disappointment here! The restaurant has plenty of parking, and the space is huge with tons of indoor and outdoor dining. This seems like a great place to gather groups for fun times. We were greeted warmly. Our server, Jaydah, was a delight. She helped us to make decisions on menu items and made sure we were taken care of at all times. She brought us a basket of homemeade pork rinds that, quite honestly, the best I've ever had. Seriously. So light and crispy and perfectly seasoned. We started with the Boudin Sushi, which was a delicious twist of Cajun and Asian. We loved it! I got a bowl of the chicken and sausage gumbo which came with a side of potato salad. I LOVED that the potato salad was served properly on an ice cold plate. My meal was perfect. My friend had the seafood platter and let me taste several items, and they were all delicious. We ended our meal with Bananas Foster cheesecake, and the homemade warm banana sauce with the chilled cheesecake was incredible. I really can't say enough about what a great meal and experience this was. Well worth the 30 minute drive from Lafayette. Jaydah even sent us off with a bag of the pork rinds to enjoy later. It doesn't get any better than that! We will be back, I guarantee!

We had the beignet fries which they brought out to our table much the same way as a Mexican restaurant serves chips and salsa. The beignet fries were dusted with powdered sugar and served with a side of syrup for dipping. They were fried , sweet, and crispy. I was tempted to get more when the waitress offered to bring out another serving. We then ordered the boudin sushi roll as an appetizer. This is what got us to drive to Crowley from Lafayette. It was amazing. It was crispy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside. It had pepper jelly and was drizzled with spicy mayo and something like an eel sauce. The boudin was perfect, it had just the amount of rice and meat mixed together. I had the shrimp and grits which is a common dish in south Louisiana, but these grits were creamy and buttery with small shrimps mixed in. It was served with large grilled shrimp on top and a cream sauce, all of which combined made the dish stand out and it was very delicious. My girlfriend had the Louisiana Benedict which was an egg with a runny yoke, a boudin patty, smoked sausage, Cajun hollandaise sauce, served on an English muffin. All of the food was so very good and our server was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back.

In response to your response. Everything else is moot really didn't care that the food was dry and didn't think it was an overly excessive time for the food to come out. The only reason I wrote this review is because of the way I was treated by a waitress that wasn't even waiting on us. I was yelled at for just trying to pay my bill and asking for a couple of boxes. That is not southern hospitality and for you to dismiss my complaint as if my experience is invalid is very concerning. This is my experience and how I was treated and it is valid.

We were seated right away. Rustic but modern interior. Clean and inviting area. This was our first visit and unfortunately probably our last. It was me my wife and our 14 month old daughter. After we had been seated and given our drinks we ordered the garlic fries and they came out less than 10 minutes later and were delicious. At the same time we ordered our fries i ordered the chicken and waffles, my wife ordered the Cali omelet and we got a burger for the little one. Also ordered some beignet fries. The rest of the food took 35 minutes after we had gotten the fries. Really didn't notice the long wait until our waitress asked if we had already ordered. Which was worrisome. The food itself was all very dry especially the chicken and waffles. The best thing was the kids burger. So if you go just get the burger it's really good. Waitress then told us she had been seated a large table outside and said she would check on us when she could but left us the check just in case. So while she was busy I went to the front to pay the check and ask for some boxes when out of nowhere another older waitress ran up and literally started yelling at me that I couldn't pay the check there because my waitress had to take it. As I was trying to explain the situation that she was busy. She continued yelling that I needed to sit back down and wait for my waitress. Then she stormed off still telling me to go back while I was just shocked and confused about what was happening. We told our waitress what happened and she gave us some kind of coupon for the next time we come but that's not happening. The one that yelled at me gave our waitress the boxes while just looking at us rudely. I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. I've never been treated like this before especially for no reason. It was crazy. I suggest to people to stay away. But if they do go just...

I absolutely wanted to love this place 1- Waitress Taylor was terrible (both attitude & service) 2- completely forgot to serve one of us our entree, never apologized, and immediately offered 25% off that dish once finally served 3- every one of us was without a drink before end of meal - party of 13 4- never returned with both the ranch that was requested as well as an extra plate 5- when speaking to the mgr the waitress came by not once but twice which was more times than we had seen her during our service. Seriously not exaggerating when I say every single glass was empty 6- this was never about a discount but indeed about the lack of service received - the $8 discount, while appreciated, meant nothing when no genuine apology follows that 7- still tipped bc we don’t go places without tipping 8- the audacity of the waitress asking about her faults after speaking to the mgr came across as condescending and again lacked empathy with her “sorry you feel that way” response 9- when the extra plate was finally brought over by the mgr he spilled coke (bc you know, refill finally came) in the plate noting it but never offered to bring another plate 10- our ticket was wrong not once, not twice, but three times. 11- one of us had a gluten allergy. This was mentioned when the fillet was ordered due to seasoning. When the fillet reached the table it was asked what it was seasoned with. The waitress offered to take it back, with attitude, but quickly we asked about the seasonings again. It clearly had black pepper or some kind of seasoning on it. The waitress was so unprofessional rolling her eyes as she offered to go ask. She did follow up saying it was only course salt. It clearly was the same seasoning as what someone else ordered when ordering the grilled chicken. Again, it was the attitude - not the mistake that made this entire visit so bad

This place has the opportunity to have such potential but I can’t say I’ll ever attempt it again. The food was just ok, quite bland. The service, while only one server since just one visit, made this experience so bad and the mgr really didn’t show much concern with rectifying the concerns brought to his attention. The lady (hostess??) who I spoke with was absolutely great. She is who I went to asking for a mgr. She even came back to the table to ask if things were better. Need...
