The theater has stopped showing classic films, the only reason I found it and became a regular patron. While I saw first run movies there, it was in an effort to support the theater to continue its classic movie offerings. Frankly, more modern theaters provide a better experience for first run, big movies, and I'm no longer willing to drive an hour and 45 minutes to support a theater that stopped providing the kind of showings that brought me to it in the first place.

I've reached out and asked if classics would return, and was told they would, but not as a weekly feature. Frankly, I thought once a month or on a rotation made more sense so was edified. But, nothing materialized. I've reached out and asked when showings would begin. I've not gotten honest answers, so I'm no longer going to sit around and keep from expressing my displeasure.

Last year, I asked about classic holiday movies, that always led to sellout crowds at the Clayton. They responded that they were showing the Polar Express. It's not a classic, it was a fundraiser for another organization, and it was obviously not in the spirit of my inquiry.

I went the last two weeks to the Everett in Middletown. I saw White Christmas, then It's a Wonderful Life. White Christmas was a large crowd, and It's a Wonderful Life sold out.

The Clayton could be getting crowds like these for showings that honor their own history and that create memories for their patrons. Instead, they've abandoned those of us who made the place a destination...

This is a GREAT throwback experience.

A true single screen theater, on the main street in a stereotypical small town U.S.A.

First run movies in this environment? Sure, of course! Matinee's? Yep. Online ticket ordering? Yes, indeed.

Single seat box office, small lobby with standard movie house concessions, they wouldn't possibly have the balcony open would they? Well, yes, yes they would indeed.

What's a balcony one might ask if they're under a certain age. Go find out at this theater!

It's a double aisle configuration with 4 seats on the outsides, and 7 or 8 seats in the center Isle, offset to help maintain the viewing experience.

The seats sit pretty low but are comfortable.

A large popcorn, large drink, and box of candy will run you about $15 bucks. Tickets? Around $11 for adults, $9 for kids and seniors.

Pick up some memorabilia in the lobby, too. Sound was better than I expected.

LOVED, going back in time, even if just for a...

We were so excited to go to an old movie theater, and unfortunately, our experience was saddened by unexpected rodents running around the theater bigger than a gerbil and had hair them! Although the concept of having an old town movie theater around Sounds great, But it definitely needs TLC besides the infestation they have. The owner graciously apologize and said that she did have an exterminator coming, so obviously this has been a problem. For her sake, I hope it gets resolved, but I would not recommend going to this movie theater As rodents can get into the popcorn and other things that she has there...

As a kid growing up in Dagsboro nothing was greater in the 80's than a Friday night at the movies. My dad tells me stories of how he would go there as a kid for 1$ watch 2 movies get a popcorn soda and candy all for $1 I hope you are able to keep staying in business. You made Dagsboro better than boring. Thanks Clayton I know it's not easy.

Historic ,non profit, small and good priced movie theatre. Snacks are much cheaper then a chain theater. It's a family favorite! They are doing a great job at social distancing and keeping every one safe.
