Porto Pizza & Grill Restaurant — Restaurant in Dagsboro

My daughter and I, and sometimes my art classmates come here quite often. The food and service has been good. Until last week. My daughter and i were hungry for a pepperoni pizza . The waiter put our order in and brought us our drinks. The pizza arrived, and had at least a half a cup of oil on top of the pizza . My daughter attempted to put a slice on the plate and before she could everything on top of the pizza slid off it was so oily and greasy. We’ve never had a bad pizza there before so we asked the waiter and he said he would go back and get them to make us another one . Then the poor waiter came out with a message from the owner saying they weren’t gonna make us another pizza and my daughter requested the owner . She came to our table with attitude and said it once it cools off a little it’ll be fine and my daughter picked up another slice and showed her how oily and greasy it was and that we’ve had good pizzas here before, but this one we were not gonna eat. The owner said well since ur not going to eat it and picked up a piece to prove once its cooler the pizza will be fine and all the ingredients slid off. We felt bad for the waiter because he was trying to give us good customer service but the owner didn’t , very disappointing. She she was very clear that she had no intention of solving the issue very poor management and customer service so my daughter and I walked out. First and last time. Ordered a large pie and mega fries for pick up. Was told 20-25 minutes. I arrived 30 minutes later and was told the mega fries (fries, two cheeses and bacon) were being worked on. 10 minutes later, still waiting on the mega fries order. Ten minutes later and the fries are still not ready. How long does it take to make an order of fries and melt some cheese on them? The restaurant was not busy, three tables, one with five people, two others with two patrons at each table. All but one had their food already. Two people came in for their orders while I was waiting. Needless to say, I didn't wait around (50 minutes since I placed the order) for the fries that were "still being worked on." A ten minute drive home and the pizza was stone cold. So disappointing, I can only assume it sat not on top of the oven as most restaurants do, until it was brought out. I read some good reviews of this place, decided to give it a try based on that. Maybe they were short staffed in the kitchen but when I walked in to pickup my food it would have been the decent thing to do and inform me that half the order was only complete and it would be at least 20 minutes before the rest of the order was finished. Terrible customer service! They could care less about their cusromers. I ordered for delivery and it took them an hour (after quoted 35 minutes) until I even got a call. The delivery driver said he was lost so I gave him basic directions(he wasn't far). The food still never came so I called the restaurant. They said sorry he couldn't find your house he tried. They credited my card (rightfully so) but overall handled the situation terribly. First they LIED and said he delivered it but maybe it was the wrong house then he walked into the restaurant while on the phone with me and he said he still has it and can bring it!! Woww The woman on the phone told me "you're already far away for delivery" as if they were doing me a favor or making an exception. I ALWAYS tip the drivers more than 20% because I know I'm at their max delivery range but they have always delivered. I order the minimum plus some every time!! I was an extremely loyal customer and I will never order from them again or dine in again! Extremely unprofessional in handling the situation. They didn't even offer a gift card for a future visit . They preferred to waste the food and lose a loyal customer who dined with them at least 3 times a month!!...
